PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

At Travel & Leisure our vision is to put the World on Vacation, in your position as the Spa Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the spa, curating exceptional guest experiences, managing a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the spa aligns with the resort’s premium brand standards.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include but not limited to:)

  • Direct all spa operations including treatments, retail, guest services, facilities, and scheduling.

  • Ensure the spa facility, equipment, and ambiance meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and luxury presentation.

  • Implement systems and protocols that optimize service flow, minimize guest wait times, and maintain spa serenity.

  • Oversee inventory control for products, supplies, and retail stock; manage purchasing and vendor relationships.

  • Guest Experience & Service Excellence.

  • Curate signature spa experiences that reflect the destination and resort brand ethos.

  • Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues promptly and graciously.

  • Collaborate with resort concierge and guest services teams to maximize spa bookings and integrate wellness into guest itineraries.

  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of qualified therapists, spa attendants, and front desk staff.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching to ensure skill development and guest-focused behavior.

  • Foster a wellness-oriented culture that emphasizes guest care, discretion, and a luxury service mindset.

  • Develop and manage the spa budget, including revenue forecasting, cost control, labor management, and profit optimization.

  • Analyze KPIs including revenue per treatment, retail per guest, utilization rates, and guest satisfaction scores.

  • Drive retail sales through team education, product merchandising, and strategic promotions.

  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to promote spa offerings through the resort’s channels and external platforms.

  • Create seasonal menus, wellness packages, and exclusive offerings aligned with travel and wellness trends.

  • Represent the spa at resort-wide planning meetings, brand trainings, and promotional events.

KEY POSITION CRITERIA:

  • Degree in hospitality or Spa Management or related field (preferred).

  • 3–5 years of experience in luxury spa management within a resort or high-end leisure environment.

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on management style.

  • In-depth knowledge of spa operations, wellness trends, and luxury guest service standards.

  • Financial acumen in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Display innovation through inspiring, creating and improving processes and products. 

  • Show integrity in all aspects of the position by doing the right thing, taking responsibility and delivering on the promise. 

  • Must be available to Work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

  • Perform any other duties as and when required.
