The Senior Financial Analyst supports the month-end close, forecasting, and reporting processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, reports, and underlying data. This role partners with Finance, Accounting, and operational leaders to analyze results, identify key drivers, and deliver actionable insights to management. The position also plays a key role in strengthening controls and ensuring compliance with GAAP, while contributing to process improvements, automation initiatives, and special projects across the business. This role is hybrid in office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote Thursday and Friday.
How You'll Shine:
Lead forecasting and budgeting activities, including variance analysis to identify key drivers, risks, and performance improvement opportunities, with a focus on the in-house Travel function
Build and document end-to-end travel processes by gathering requirements from Accounting, Finance, and operational stakeholders, defining data flows, controls, and reporting outputs
Design and develop new data pipelines by extracting and transforming travel transaction data (including API integrations) to create reliable, scalable data sources
Develop and implement automated solutions using SQL, Python, and workflow tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power Automate) to streamline manual processes and improve efficiency
Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, and IT to validate data integrity, align requirements, and support successful deployment of reporting and automation solutions
Support ad hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects to address evolving business needs
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, MIS, Business, or equivalent experience; CPA and/or MBA preferred
5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting within a corporate environment
Experience partnering with senior leadership, delivering data-driven insights and recommendations to support decision-making
Advanced technical skills, including SQL and/or Python, with hands-on experience leveraging automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power Automate) to streamline financial processes
Demonstrated experience working with large, complex datasets, including data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation
Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, Power Query, data modeling) and experience with enterprise planning tools (e.g., Essbase or similar)
Proven ability to build scalable financial models, automated reporting, and repeatable processes with a focus on data integrity and controls
Highly developed analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear insights for Finance, Accounting, and IT stakeholders
Experience in the travel industry, including familiarity with GDS platforms such as Amadeus and Globalware a plus.
