A Data Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and management of data products, ensuring they meet the needs of the business and its customers. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and drive the product roadmap. Additionally, they analyze data product usage and gather user feedback to continuously improve the product and ensure its success in driving business value. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, product development, and stakeholder collaboration.
How You'll Shine:

Product Ownership: Take full ownership of data products, from conception to delivery, ensuring they meet business needs and drive value. (25%)

Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, data usage, and pain points. Translate these insights into actionable product features and enhancements. (20%)

Data Utilization: Leverage data to generate insights and drive decision-making. Ensure data products are designed to turn data into valuable business outcomes. (15%)

Development Oversight: Oversee development teams to build, enhance, and maintain data products. Ensure timely delivery and high-quality output. (10%)

Product Roadmap: Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with business goals and priorities. Communicate progress and updates to stakeholders regularly. (10%)

Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure data products meet the highest standards of accuracy and reliability. (10%)

Data Governance: Participate in and potentially lead data governance activities and committees to ensure effective data product usage, standardization and conformity across the landscape for the various lines of business. (5%)

Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in data product management. (5%)
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field
- Master's Degree preferred
- Proven experience in data product management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data management, and data analytics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience overseeing development teams and managing product lifecycles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Strong organizational, planning and follow-up skills.
- Experience in and comfort with presenting to executives at all levels
- Business Acumen with the ability to provide solutions that drive positive results.
- Comfortable working in an evolving and changing environment.
- Natural curiosity and desire to ask questions and learn.
- Ability to develop effective relationships and partnerships with internal & external business partners at all levels of the organization.
- Background with and understanding of marketing data and analytics, including performance measurement of marketing efforts (e.g., ROAS) is highly desired.
- Experience within hospitality is a plus. Timeshare experience highly desired.

SQL: Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.

Python: Experience with Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.

Jira: Familiarity with Jira for project management and tracking development progress.

Data Governance Tools: Knowledge of data governance tools and best practices to ensure data quality and compliance. E.g., Informatica, Alation, Collibra, Atlan

Data Governance Processes: Experience with Data Privacy & Compliance and Data Quality Management

Excel: Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis, reporting, and visualization.

Snowflake: Experience with Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics.

BI Tools: Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to create insightful dashboards and reports.

Git: Familiarity with version control systems like Git for managing code and collaboration.

Agile: Knowledge of Agile Best Practices

MDM: Experience with Master Data Management techniques and tools.
- Minimum of 9 years of experience.
Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
