The Business Applications Specialist II is a role supporting the contact center with issue resolution and enhancements to systems. This person will be responsible for ensuring all stages of the system development life cycle are adhered to. The specialist will assist to manage, design, develop, and maintain new and existing products, coordinate with clients and participate in IT projects and/or troubleshooting efforts.
How You'll Shine:
Test & Implement: Tests and implements new systems and changes properly to ensure minimal issues and defects
Develops user acceptance test plans by analyzing business requirements and engaging with project manager and subject matter experts as necessary.
Designs user acceptance testing processes and establish a testing schedule.
Responsible for creating test case scenarios, executing on the scenarios, defect monitoring and regression during UAT and production validation activities
Tests functionality as a business user or alongside business subject matter experts in order to test the delivered functionality in real-world scenarios and certify user acceptance criteria
Prioritizes UAT defects for resolution and consults with appropriate business partners for transparency
Assures that issues uncovered during testing are tracked and corrected.
Collaborates with development teams to address issues found during UAT and validates that corrective actions taken by development resolves those issues
Security & Integrity: Implements precautionary measures and procedures to ensure security and integrity of applications and data, including role management for systems such as CSS/Mainframe, IRIS, MSS & TRIP
IT Liaison: Participate on IT projects including but not limited to coding updates, security updates, and system compatibility projects. Responsibility for addressing reservation system IT Tickets.
Participate in business requirement sessions to contribute to TRIP system design and to advocate for the end user experience.
Manage monthly release implementation outside of normal business hours (typically overnight).
Develops and maintains SharePoint sites, reports and spreadsheets that support call center and business processes, using the standard Systems Development Life Cycle methodology
Performs other duties as needed
What You'll Bring:
2-year degree in business, computer science, or related degree or equivalent experience required
2+ years' experience with Club Wyndham Program Guidelines
2+ years' experience with TRIP reservation system
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to manage competing priorities, meet agreed upon deadlines, and deliver high-quality materials.
Ability to handle UAT and Production validations outside of business hours and over the weekend as needed.
Ability to creatively use technology to solve challenging business problems
Ability to communicate professionally with clients and coworkers
Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
Ability to adapt projects to meet changing business needs
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
Ability to communicate technical issues to IT partners
Traditional and agile software development life cycle: 1 year experience
1+ years of experience working or participating in User Acceptance Testing preferred
Leadership experience
Multiple Club Product Knowledge
