How You'll Shine:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Travel Accounts Administrator to join our Travel team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, have a strong understanding of the travel industry and related industry bodies and their role within the travel industry.   This role is responsible for the broader accounting functions within the Travel Club. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, a strong understanding of and experience within the travel industry, and the ability to work efficiently with financial software and spreadsheets.

Key responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Process and verify accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Support a positive Travel Club P&L by assisting the team
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow
  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Maintain and update accounting files, both digital and physical
  • Respond to internal and external queries regarding accounts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
  • Ensure accurate, detailed and relevant information is recorded in Client files and Trip files within CCT
  • Maintain our accreditation in IATA with Annual Agency Revalidation and ensure our compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS)
  • Reconcile Vacation Credits against the FAX Pool monthly to ensure that Owner Credit deductions are accurate and meet the requirements of the Club

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the travel industry and understanding of travel suppliers, industry bodies and their role
  • Innovative and forward thinking with strong learning and development background
  • Excellent attention to detail & accuracy
  • Proven experience in an accounting or administrative role, ideally in accounts administration within the travel industry
  • Proficient in accounting software
  • Excellent knowledge and in-depth experience with Cross Check Travel Enterprise
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and initiative to improve processes
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet required deadlines.

  • Ability to learn quickly and apply new job-related skills & information
  • Enthusiastic, results and target driven
  • Must be willing to complete end of month and end of year procedures as required
  • Confident, flexible with the ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
