The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely performance of various assigned functions in support of the month-end close and reporting process. Ensures the accuracy of financial statements, reports and data files for assigned sales stores; in addition, reviews the financial results and provides communication to management. May identify and implement necessary controls whereby ensuring the Company's financial statements are reported in conformity with GAAP. May also be involved on special projects, ad-hoc reporting, and other requests from the sales, marketing, corporate, resort management, and/or finance. This role is hybrid in office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote Thursday and Friday.
How You'll Shine:
Help manage forecasting and budgeting activities and analyze actual results against forecasts/and or budget to concisely highlight variance drivers and identify opportunities to mitigate risk and improve performance.
Perform financial statement research and analysis, including development and preparation of financial management reports. Actively identifying significant trends in operations and presenting to management with appropriate recommendations for action.
Continuously seeking opportunities to automate and streamline processes to reduce cycle time by leveraging technological and system solutions.
Special projects, ad-hoc reporting and other duties as needed
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, MIS or Business, or equivalent work experience required. CPA, and or MBA preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Well organized and able to perform under stressful situations. Be inquisitive and look for alternative ways to analyze the business
Proven track record of process automation
Excellent strategic, analytical and creative thinking aptitude in both an independent and team environment. Self-starter with the ability to source data and recommend conclusions
Ability to communicate and partner effectively with all levels of the organization. Excellent business acumen with understanding of functional linkages and ability to build strong professional relationships with business partners in both operational and financial roles
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and strict deadlines while incorporating work style with team objectives
Decision-minded, capable of providing senior management with clear paths to optimal results
Actively informs management of sub-optimal practices wherever observed and takes action to correct issues
Advanced knowledge in Excel with intermediate/advanced skill in VBA coding. Ability to work with large data sets.
Experience with managing Essbase Reporting (or similar enterprise planning system)
Ability to create, maintain and distribute accurate reporting on a systematic efficient basis
Flexibility to work overtime to assist in financial reporting department deadlines
Experience with power automations and various applications
Experience with creating driver based financial models to support budgets/forecasts and business decision making
5+ years of experience in financial or operational analysis, budgeting or forecasting.
4-5 years finance experience in a corporate environment.
Timeshare or leadership experience preferred.
Unless there is a legal requirement, experience will be accepted for the education requirement.
