The Manager of Special Events or Manager of Marketing has the responsibility to create and implement programs and policies that assist with the growth and maintenance of the Special Events program while ensuring business best practices are aligned with Sales Operations goals. A critical focus of this position is expense management and ensuring proformas and forecasting are aligned with goals to increase program efficiencies. Reinforcing the goals and tactics with field partners while following the existing scalable and sustainable roadmap to drive efficiencies, will be essential.
Partnering with field personnel to identify opportunities within the program’s operation and developing solutions to take advantage of these opportunities will be the day to day objectives for the individual in this role. He/she will also oversee the implementation of these solutions/tactics. Coordination with other Corporate personnel will also be required to assist in the implementation of the developed tasks.
In addition, the Manager of Special Events will be responsible for some of the coordination and planning of special events. Duties to include but are not limited to: research of vendors & supplying research information management for final selection; assisting with and obtaining contracts & signatures from vendors as required; merchandising support; preparation of all event invoices; follow-up to ensure payments have been made to all vendors in a timely manner; involvement with pre & post event e-mails & conference calls; and travel to event locations as required.
Travel Requirements
Travel will absolutely be required in this position and is essential to success.
How You'll Shine:
Coordination in planning of special events, including ordering, follow up, shipping & tracking for all events, along with hosting and follow up for associated events.
Work closely with field personnel to identify opportunity and implement solutions required for continued growth.
Oversee and manage the team to ensure event expenses, forecasting, budgeting, legal and process best practices are always adhered to.
Communicate the current successes and opportunities back to corporate leadership and partners as well as the regional and business unit sales and marketing leadership.

Job Experience
Marketing manager experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience
Understanding of sales and marketing practices in vacation ownership, preferred
3+ years experience in broad-based relationship management or account executive role, or related experience
