This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, solving problems and ensuring facilities, plant and equipment operate safely and reliably. Working within our resort environment, you will play an important role in maintaining our buildings, infrastructure and operational systems while supporting an exceptional guest experience. Full-time position available.

How You’ll Shine

As our Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of resort facilities, equipment and building systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing faults and completing repairs across resort buildings, plant and equipment.
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance activities to improve asset reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting building services including pumps, pool plant, hot water systems, HVAC systems and other mechanical equipment.
  • Coordinating and liaising with external contractors undertaking specialist maintenance and compliance works.
  • Completing inspections, maintenance tasks and technical documentation using our maintenance management system (MEX).
  • Maintaining accurate records of repairs, inspections, servicing and asset history.
  • Supporting refurbishment projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company standards and legislative requirements.

You will be a practical problem solver who takes pride in delivering quality maintenance outcomes. You will enjoy investigating issues, finding solutions and contributing to the long-term reliability of our resort assets.

You will also work closely with Resort Management and operational departments including Housekeeping, Front Office and Food & Beverage to minimise disruption and maintain an outstanding guest experience.

What You’ll Bring

To be considered for this great opportunity it is essential that you have the following skills and attributes:

  • At least 3 years relevant work experience or; a relevant qualification or above of the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF)
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, technical maintenance, engineering support or a similar role
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience maintaining building services, plant, equipment and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, plumbing systems, pool plant, HVAC or similar equipment.
  • Experience completing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ability to coordinate contractors and communicate technical requirements.
  • Experience using a computerised maintenance management system such as MEX is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment.
