PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
At Travel + Leisure our vision is to put the World on Vacation. In your position as the Guest Service Generalist, you will be responsible for a multi skill role working in two or more departments at the resort. This may include food and beverage/front office/housekeeping.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include but not limited to:)
Front Office
Provide a range of customer services through the handling of reservations, reception duties, guest activities and general administration tasks within the accommodation facilities within the property.
- Meet and greet all clients in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
- Attend to check in and check out of guests in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with correct procedures
- Ensure that all guests accounts are properly receipted, recorded, and reconciled by following operating guidelines
- Ensure that client needs are met by providing accurate and relevant information by phone and over the counter
- Maintain a high standard of customer service through handling all customers in a courteous, friendly and helpful manner
- Ensure that appropriate and relevant promotional material is available for clients by maintaining adequate supplies and presentation
- Maximise room sales and conversion of enquires through pro-active sales activity and techniques appropriate to the customer and selling period
- Be familiar with and adhere to company occupational health and safety policies and procedures
- Employees must ensure they comply with Travel + Leisure’s OH&S Policy, procedures and any reasonable instruction given by Travel + Leisure.
- Employees must not wilfully place at risk the health and safety of themselves or any other persons in the workplace and to not wilfully or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided for health and safety.

KEY POSITION CRITERIA:
- Formal studies in hospitality or customer service (desirable)
- Experience in one or more areas of service at a Hotel (preferred)
- Strong work ethics, flexible in approach and supportive of others
- Methodical and consistent worker with an eye for detail
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through friendly and efficient service, as measured by guest feedback
- Drive sales as measured by increased revenues
- Able to work all hours required to run operations
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work productively in a fast paced, changing workplace.
- Ability to deliver quality customer service to owners and guests
