This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading hospitality company! We currently looking for a Maintenance Officer (Handyman) / Grounds Person to join our team today!

About the Role?

As a Maintenance Officer & Grounds Person, you’ll help keep our resort operating at its best — from the guest rooms to the gardens. Your work will ensure that everything looks great, works well, and makes our guests feel welcome and safe.

You will:

• Carry out routine repairs and maintenance across guest rooms, public spaces, equipment, and facilities

• Assist with planned preventative maintenance programs to keep the property in top shape

• Look after the resort’s beautiful gardens, lawns, and outdoor spaces so they stay healthy and inviting year-round

• Support seasonal landscaping and care for trees, shrubs, and garden beds

• Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests promptly and professionally

• Monitor and report on equipment, supplies, and potential hazards

• Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Manager and other departments to keep everything running smoothly

About You?

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential

• Ability to work within a flexible, rotating roster which includes weekends, evenings and Public Holidays

• Sound knowledge of general building maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously

• Awareness of workplace health and safety requirements, and a willingness to follow safe work practices

• A positive, can-do attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction.

• Good communication skills and a helpful, team-oriented approach

• Physical fitness and comfort working both indoors and outdoors in all seasons

• Current driver’s licence and relevant trade qualifications is desirable but not essential
