The Director of Marketing is responsible for leading the development and execution of growth strategies across the Travel & Membership portfolio. This role provides strategic leadership for initiatives focused on business growth, customer acquisition, partner engagement, commercial activation, and market expansion.

The Director of Marketing is an accomplished marketing leader who thrives in a highly matrixed environment and can seamlessly move between executive-level strategy and day-to-day execution. They are equally comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, developing long-term growth initiatives, leading high-performing teams, and rolling up their sleeves to ensure programs are successfully brought to market.

The Director of Marketing serves as a key thought partner to the Vice President of Marketing for the Americas and plays a critical role in shaping growth strategies, supporting strategic partnerships, and driving B2B and B2B2C marketing initiatives that contribute to business growth, customer acquisition, and revenue generation.

How You'll Shine:

  • Operate in close partnership with Business Development teams across the Americas, helping shape go-to-market strategies, identify growth opportunities, and deliver the tools, messaging, and value propositions needed to maximize every commercial opportunity.

  • Lead B2B and B2B2C marketing initiatives that support affiliate relationships, strategic partnerships, channel partners, and customer-facing activation programs.

  • Oversee multiple B2B and partner-facing brands within the Travel & Membership portfolio, ensuring brand alignment, market relevance, and business impact.

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, partner marketing programs, sales enablement initiatives, and integrated campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, acquisition, and revenue.

  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to the Vice President of Marketing, providing strategic recommendations, business insights, and informed perspectives that influence key decisions and organizational priorities.

  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution, delivering measurable business outcomes while balancing competing priorities and stakeholder needs.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while creating opportunities for professional growth and development.

  • Establish performance metrics, evaluate results, and leverage data-driven insights to continuously improve marketing effectiveness and business performance.

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of Travel & Membership's presence at key industry conferences, trade shows, and partner events.

  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of RCI's presence at the vacation ownership industry's premier annual trade show, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver a best-in-class experience that strengthens relationships, generates business opportunities, and reinforces market leadership.

  • Operate effectively in a highly matrixed environment, influencing stakeholders at all levels and driving alignment across diverse teams and priorities.

  • Navigate ambiguity with confidence, bring structure to complex business challenges, and adapt quickly to changing organizational needs and opportunities.

  • Seamlessly transition between strategic leadership and hands-on execution, ensuring initiatives are successfully delivered with excellence and measurable impact.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of marketing professionals across multiple disciplines, including marketing strategy, creative services, marketing operations, and web development. (25% time)

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that support business growth, customer acquisition, partner success, and revenue generation across the Travel & Membership portfolio.(25% time)

  • Own and manage marketing budgets across multiple business units and cost centers, ensuring effective allocation of resources and return on marketing investment. (20% time)

  • Partner with Finance and business leaders to develop annual budgets, forecast expenditures, evaluate investment opportunities, and optimize marketing performance. (20% time)

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for agency partnerships, vendor relationships, creative production, and marketing technology investments. (10% time)

Travel Requirements

Travel requirements can vary based on business need. On average, the travel time expectation for this position is up to 25% each year.

What You'll Bring:

  • 12+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience

  • Experience leading teams in a matrixed organization

Education

  • BA/BS in business related field

Knowledge and Skills

  • Self-starter with ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Ability to work effectively across teams globally to achieve results.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong presentation skills

  • Comfortable working across regions with global counterparts to achieve alignment

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use results to drive change.

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to consistently meet deadlines

  • Must be results driven, enjoy problem solving and passionate about being challenged

Job Experience

  • Experience supporting B2B, B2B2C, partnership, affiliate, channel, or growth marketing functions

  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with sales, business development, product, finance, and operational teams

  • Experience within travel, hospitality, membership, loyalty, subscription, or consumer services industries preferred

  • Proven track record of delivering growth through customer acquisition, partnership marketing, and integrated marketing programs

Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
