Job Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for the management of day to day operations of recruiting for resort operations while leading a team of approximately 8 Recruiters that support over 100 Travel and Leisure branded resort properties. This role takes a hands on approach, leading a team responsible for carrying out high volume recruiting efforts for assigned regions within the United States, working to define effective recruitment strategies and pipelines to access top level talent while ensuring that all recruiters are delivering timely and effective customer service and support to their clients. 

This role supports the Director of Talent Acquisition in the development of targeted sourcing and recruiting strategies along with the management of the talent attraction, interview and selection process for the Resort Operations positions. This role is also responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with resort operations leadership, HR leadership, and outside third party companies associated with recruiting related activities.

**This position is a hybrid role, working Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in the office at our corporate location in downtown Orlando and 2 days remotely. This is not a fully remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage recruitment team. Hire, coach, develop, and retain staff through effective recruiting, on-boarding, and employee development plans. Lead team meetings inspiring teamwork, creative thinking, and collaboration with their clients while utilizing their influencing skills.  Help Recruiters develop effective sourcing strategies and ensure the team is utilizing the tools available to them to attract, communicate, and process candidates.  Reward and recognize team members for accomplishments and hard work.  Disciplinary action as necessary.

  • Partnering with resort Vice Presidents, Directors of Resort Operations, General Managers and their department managers ensuring local recruitment strategies are effectively developed, coordinated and implemented to identify, select, and hire high quality resort operations talent.  Ensure leaders are provided tools to be successful in conducting local, grass root recruiting efforts.  Educate, train and support all business leaders who serve as hiring managers on processes and selection practices to build effective recruiting teams at all resorts.

  • Manage talent attraction efforts and job postings, working to identify new as well as maximize usage of existing targeted sourcing tools (ie. Internet, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), print advertising, publications, social media, sourcing vendors, community partnerships) and other means to generate applicant flow. Champion and promote the employee referral program features and benefits through innovative measures.

  • Conduct preliminary interviews with qualified candidates as necessary in accordance with company policy and employment law and coordinate follow up interviews through point of hire or disposition of candidates. Work closely with hiring managers and Human Resources to ensure hiring processes are being followed and that appropriate candidate profiles are being identified.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with local colleges and community organizations in order to generate a qualified, diverse talent pool.  Plans and attends off-site job fairs and community networking events as necessary to promote social awareness of Travel + Leisure Co.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Five + years high volume recruiting experience required for exempt and nonexempt level roles, preferably in a hospitality environment.

  • Three + years leadership experience in a high volume recruiting environment managing a regionally dispersed remote team preferred.

  • Demonstrated work experience supporting various labor markets across the United States.

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with business leader clients as well as a variety of support partners including marketing, human resources, communications, technology, finance, and other business service groups.

  • Must be comfortable working in a hybrid work environment including 3 days at the Orlando corporate office and have a conducive home environment to be able to work remotely.  Must be able to travel domestically for meetings, conferences, training, and supporting local recruitment efforts as necessary.  Travel estimated to be 10% or less.

  • Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Tracking Systems as well as other recruiting technology such as candidate assessment tools, graphics programs. Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday preferred).

  • Advanced PC skills in MS Excel required – create formulas, pivot tables, etc.  Intermediate PC skills (at least 5 years) in MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Skills in MS SharePoint preferred.

  • Experience providing accurate, timely reporting and data analysis to interpret performance of the team and recruitment strategies.

  • Able to take control of various situations independently as they arise and remain objective.

  • Must be able to initiate, manage, and measure multiple recruitment plans simultaneously, delegate assignments, and implement strategy in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to work with others and communicate effectively, build credibility as a talent acquisition expert, and practice influence to all levels including executive.

  • Must be professional and possess a high level of confidentiality.  Demonstrated strong proactive recruiting, sourcing, interviewing, negotiating and networking skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including presentations.  Detail oriented with strong organization skills.

  • Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and ability to handle pressure.
