Position Summary - Responsible for compiling financial statements for resorts and corporate departments. This includes doing necessary accruals and deferrals, reviewing the statements for accuracy, and meeting month end closing deadlines. The position is also responsible for maintaining assigned balance sheet accounts, including reconciliation of the account and audit work papers. They will complete and file all sales and occupancy tax reports. Review and assist resort managers in completing annual budgets.

- Complete necessary accruals and reclassifications.
- Review Resort Financial statements. Work with Resort
Manager and/or Accounting management team to solve any discrepancy or errors as necessary.
- Complete monthly variance reports, discussing all financial statement lines with material variances from budget.
8 G\L Balance Sheet
Accounts 30%
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, as assigned
- Prepare reconciliation work papers for monthly review and audit
4 Tax Returns 10%
- Complete and file timely, accurate sales and use tax returns. Maintain back-up files for audit purposes.
- Complete and file timely, accurate occupancy tax returns. Maintain back-up files for audit purposes.
10 Miscellaneous Analyses as needed. 25%
- Analysis of accounting data.
- Review resort budgets, and assist managers in their preparation of their annual budgets.

Minimum Qualifications Required - Describe the amount and type of education
and experience required to perform the essential job functions, including any required certifications or professional licenses:
- BA in Accounting or Finance. BA in related field would be reviewed on a case by case basis.
- Strong Excel knowledge.
- Excel knowledge of function formulas, pivot tables, linked spreadsheets.
Preferred Qualifications - Describe any additional education and experience that you would like to see in this position, but that is not required for the position:
- 1-2 years experience as a staff accountant preferred, but not required.
- CPA or CMA desirable but not required.
- Knowledge of Access for importing and querying on data is useful, but not required
