Job Summary

Support position within the travel department responsible for issuing airline tickets and invoices while following a strict quality control process. The position is responsible for acting as a resource to agents.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Issue airline tickets and invoices for cruise, tour, car and hotel bookings. QC all PNRs to ensure accurate passenger, fare, payment, date and destination information.Works with Travel Accounting Department to ensure that all airline tickets are issued correctly, taking commission when applicable and using appropriate formats for Agency Private Fares and contract fares. Assist travel agents by answering questions about airline fares and Apollo/Focalpoint formats.Responsible for maintaining back room ticket and itinerary printers.Responsible for ensuring that agency follows ARC guidelines regarding ticket stock and other accountable documents. Perform final quality control check of tickets, documents and invoices (70% time)
  • Process airline tickets and other documents for mailing or UPS. Responsible for maintaining ticket logs and filing cabinets. Miscellaneous administrative duties, including delivering mail and ordering supplies.Participation in special projects as needed (25% time)
  • Performs other duties as needed (5% time)
  • Travel Requirements

  • Some travel is optional (FAM trips). Trips can range from local to international
  • Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

    Education

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge and Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Apollo/Focalpoint airline reservations system.
  • Thorough understanding of airline tariffs, regulations and policies, as well as Agency Private Fares.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate with team members in a helpful, positive manner.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply new concepts and procedures
  • Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of IRIS reservations system and WorldMark resorts, policies and procedures.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
  • Job Experience

  • 0-1 years leisure travel consultant experience, with a preference for experience in a contact center environment.
  • Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.

    Level of decision making authority: Decisions made will generally have established and known alternatives. Appropriately uses empowerment to make prudent decisions for problem resolution More complex decisions will be sent to Supervisors for review Decisions could affect revenues and owner satisfaction

    Impact of incumbent's decisions on the organization: N/A

    Supervisory Responsibility: No direct reports

    Scope/Financial Responsibility: This position has a direct impact on increasing revenues of the contact centers by meeting or exceeding performance goals and providing excellent service. The position is not directly responsible for a budget.
