The Manager of Event Retail Package Sales is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution and performance of face-to-face package sales that support sales, marketing, and branding initiatives within the Vacation Ownership business segment. This role plays a key part in enhancing guest engagement and delivering memorable customer experiences through well-designed package offerings. Working closely with cross-functional teams and business partners, the Manager ensures alignment with broader strategic goals while focusing on operational excellence, team leadership, and continuous improvement. The role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial performance drivers, and experience in managing package sales operations within the timeshare or hospitality industry. The Manager of Event Retail Package Sales will be the tip of the spear running all event packages sales and responsible for the management of all travel package sales agents. This position will also assist in new fixed location department start ups including training, filed management, and physical set up.

How You'll Shine

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Execute face-to-face package sales strategies that support the company’s sales and marketing objectives. (20%)
  • Manage a portfolio of package offerings aimed at attracting new timeshare customers and enhancing owner retention. (10%)
  • Manage event procurement, scheduling and staffing, (5%)
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess package effectiveness, including tour growth and guest feedback. (5%)
  • Leverage data insights to support continuous improvement and identify opportunities for operational enhancements. (10%)
  • Lead and coach a team responsible for the day-to-day execution of package sales, with a focus on performance and process optimization. (30%)
  • Ensure efficient use of resources to maintain cost-effectiveness and maximize return on investment. (5 %)
  • Foster strong working relationships with resort property teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners. (5%)
  • Support budget management and contribute to financial performance goals. (5%)
  • Assist in implementing cost-control measures to improve profitability. (5%)

Travel Requirements

  • May require up to 95% of the time.

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience in managing face-to-face package sales within the hospitality, real estate, or timeshare industry, with a focus on driving performance and customer engagement.
  • Solid understanding of budget management and ROI-driven strategies.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams, foster a positive culture, and support staff growth through coaching and collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of the timeshare business model and its operational dynamics.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, resort staff, and external partners.
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects and priorities within tight timelines and resource constraints.
  • Commitment to upholding Travel + Leisure Co.’s strategic pillars and core values.
  • Professional demeanor with sound judgment and the ability to make confident decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and self-motivated, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience in project coordination or management, including small- to mid-scale initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and inspire confidence across business lines.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to quickly learn new technology programs
  • Experience with content management and learning management systems
  • Experience with Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Proficiency in with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint

Job experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the timeshare, hospitality, or related industry, with a focus on sales, marketing, or package operations.
  • Experience managing teams and executing customer-facing programs preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving performance and improving operational outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Equivalent experience in the hospitality or timeshare industry may be considered in lieu of formal education.
