The Marketing Sales Agent engages with guests at popular local attractions, resorts, malls, theme parks, and community events to represent Travel + Leisure Co. as a professional brand ambassador. In this sales-focused role, the Marketing Sales Agent initiates face-to-face conversations with prospective customers, creates interest in vacation experiences, and presents opportunities to participate in promotional vacation packages.
The Marketing Sales Agent is responsible for engaging, qualifying, and booking eligible guests for approved vacation packages and inviting them to attend a scheduled vacation ownership sales presentation. The agent creates a positive guest experience while clearly communicating program requirements, incentives, and presentation expectations in accordance with company policies, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
Successful Marketing Sales Agents are confident communicators who enjoy meeting new people, building rapport, overcoming objections, and working toward individual and team production goals.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a positive, professional, and knowledgeable brand ambassador for Travel + Leisure Co.
- Engage prospective customers through friendly and professional face-to-face conversations.
- Introduce qualified guests to vacation opportunities, promotional packages, and the vacation ownership experience.
- Present and explain approved vacation packages, incentives, and applicable program requirements.
- Screen and qualify prospective customers in accordance with established company guidelines.
- Build rapport with guests and identify their vacation interests and needs.
- Invite and incentivize qualified guests to attend an approved vacation ownership sales presentation.
- Book eligible guests for approved vacation packages and sales-preview tours.
- Schedule presentation appointments and collect required deposits when applicable.
- Accurately communicate reservation and presentation details to guests.
- Maintain established booking, tour, show, and production standards.
- Handle customer questions and objections professionally while maintaining a positive guest experience.
- Follow all company-approved scripts, marketing materials, policies, procedures, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate customer information and booking records.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Guest Engagement & Sales: Greet, engage, present, qualify, and incentivize prospective customers to participate in an approved vacation package and/or vacation ownership sales presentation while maintaining minimum performance goals. (80% time)

Training & Development: Attend scheduled training sessions and department meetings; maintain current knowledge of vacation destinations, marketing programs, promotional offers, and approved sales/marketing materials; stay informed of company policies and procedures; and establish and review performance goals on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. (20% time)
- Consistently demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, integrity, and a customer-focused approach.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, and leadership teams to support overall business objectives.
- Communicate any customer concerns, compliance questions, or operational issues to leadership promptly.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with company standards.
Travel Requirements
No travel is required outside of the employee's assigned home-site area. Occasional local event participation may be required based on business needs.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to effectively present vacation opportunities and promotional offers.

- Must maintain required production and quality standards.
- Sales and/or marketing experience is preferred, but not required.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Training Requirements
- No prior specialized training required.
- Company-provided training will be provided as applicable to the position and assigned location.
- Must successfully complete all required training, compliance, and certification programs.

Technical Skills
- General computer proficiency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to use smartphones, tablets, iPads, and other smart devices.
- Ability to learn and utilize company-specific marketing, booking, scheduling, and customer-management systems.
- Ability to accurately enter and maintain customer and reservation information.
Job Experience
- 1 to 3 years of sales and/or marketing experience is preferred, but not required.
- Hospitality, tourism, retail, customer service, event marketing, theme park, resort, or vacation industry experience is a plus.
- Experience in a face-to-face customer engagement or sales environment is preferred.
- Candidates demonstrating strong communication skills, confidence, professionalism, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
