How You’ll Shine

The Lifeguard Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily lifeguard operations while maintaining the highest standards of guest safety, hospitality, and policy compliance. This role serves as the on-site leader for the lifeguard team, ensuring coverage, consistency, and smooth pool deck operations while acting as a liaison between lifeguards, third-party vendors, and resort leadership.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Team Leadership & Supervision

· Supervise, coach, and support the lifeguard team to ensure consistent performance, professionalism, and adherence to safety standards

· Lead by example on guest engagement, hospitality, and pool deck presence

· Assist with onboarding, training reinforcement, and ongoing development of lifeguard staff

· Address performance concerns, provide feedback, and escalate issues to leadership when appropriate

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

· Ensure lifeguard staff are in full compliance with all safety policies, certifications, and procedures

· Monitor pool operations to proactively identify safety risks or operational concerns

· Serve as point of contact for incident response coordination and documentation when required

Guest Experience & Hospitality

· Ensure a welcoming, professional, and hospitality-driven environment for all owners and guests

· Address guest concerns on the pool deck and coordinate resolutions with leadership as needed

· Support resort events and activities occurring within the pool area

Operational Support & Inventory

· Assist in maintaining pool deck inventory, equipment, and supplies

· Conduct routine checks of rescue equipment, first aid supplies, and operational materials

· Support scheduling coverage needs and ensure staffing aligns with operational demands

Third-Party Vendor Coordination

· Work closely with third-party lifeguard vendors to support daily operations and ensure alignment with resort standards and expectations

· Assist with communication related to staffing needs, scheduling coordination, and on-site operational consistency

· Help ensure both internal teams and vendor teams are working toward the same operational and guest-safety goals

· Escalate vendor-related concerns or gaps to leadership as appropriate

Cross-Department Communication

· Communicate effectively with Guest Services, Activities, Engineering, and leadership to ensure smooth daily operations

· Provide updates on staffing, incidents, vendor coordination, or operational needs as required

What You’ll Bring

· Current certifications or ability to maintain certification: CPR / First Aid / Water Safety

· Prior lifeguard experience required; supervisory or leadership experience preferred

· Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills

· Ability to balance safety enforcement with guest-focused hospitality

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and follow established procedures

· Professional appearance and a positive, team-focused attitude

Additional Info:

  • Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid Certification, Service Safe, etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • 2 years of experience in customer service, recreation and administration/leadership.

  • 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
