PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

At Travel + Leisure Co. our vision is to put the World on Vacation, in your position as the Junior Financial Accountant, you will contribute to the achievement of the Consumer Finance Team’s objectives and goals through:

  • Ensuring that cash, banking and reconciling functions are processed in an accurate, efficient and timely manner in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations and service level agreements and
  • Providing support to the Consumer Finance Team, with the aim to providing a superior level of customer service to our customers with a focus on Cash flow and Reduction in Delinquency. 
  • Ensuring that cash, banking and reconciling functions are processed in an accurate, efficient and timely manner in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, milestones and service level agreements.
  • Actioning & resolving disputes in a diplomatic and professional manner.
  • Providing data entry and administrative support to Consumer Finance.
  • Administering Autopay for all portfolios.
  • Working directly with our owners to encourage Autopay and resolve any queries.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include but not limited to:)

  • Deliver outcomes against the department Service Level Agreements
  • Daily banking and batching of all account types / Multicurrency and Conversion
  • Reporting
  • Billing
  • Reconciling all bank accounts and reports, made up of different currencies, and presenting this information to the company accountants at EOM on BD1. Balancing batching versus banking.
  • Processing Payouts of Finance contracts and calculating discounts
  • Actioning Webciss requests
  • Provide maximum service excellence to both internal & external customers.
  • Data entry and maintenance
  • Add; edit; delete and maintain autopay for all portfolios.  Process any associated adjustments and account maintenance. 
  • Investigate and resolve issues that arise from data maintenance
  • Inbound and outbound communications with Owners
  • Ensure all audit requirements are met
  • Overflow general administration duties
  • Employees must ensure they comply with WDAP’s OH&S Policy, procedures and any reasonable instruction given by WDAP.

KEY POSITION CRITERIA:

  • Previous experience in a similar role and /or experience in a bookkeeping/accounting role
  • An understanding of the regulatory credit risk framework under Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Privacy Act Australia and New Zealand (Privacy).  Annual Training will be provided.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong reconciliation and reporting skills with the ability to manipulate and import/export data
  • Working knowledge in handling cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS
  • Working knowledge of cash allocation, daily balancing and currency conversion.
  • Ability to deliver to tight End of Month deadlines.
  • Be flexible and able to work under pressure in a fast- paced environment
  • Be able to efficiently multi-task and prioritise duties
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft office including Excel, Word and Access
  • Ability to deal with a broad range of customers, including owners
  • Excellent time management, multitasking and organizational skills
  • Flexibility, with a willingness to undertake a wide variety of tasks in a fast paced 
    environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement strategies
  • Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to embrace growth and changing environment, actively supporting process improvement principles
  • May involve rotation to other functional areas of the department for training purposes
