The Project Manager of Interior Design and Architecture focuses on strategic thinking, client engagement, and a deep understanding of industry trends. Our ideal candidate is a visionary leader who can manage complex projects and deliver impactful design outcomes.
This person will be responsible for project timelines being met along with brand standards and budgets being critical to project success. They will be responsible for successfully managing assigned projects to meet expectations and Travel + Leisure’s mission.

How You'll Shine:

  • Understand project scope, goals, and limitations. Develop schedule, milestones, and cost projection.

  • Lead and manage the project and the firm's team (staff and consultants).

  • Oversees QA/QC reviews of projects within their team ensuring all aspects of the project scope are captured accurately. Maintain good project documentation, files, and records. Assist accounting in timely and accurate invoicing and accounts payable. Promote communication, cooperation, and quality among staff.

  • May visit construction sites to review progress and perform other construction administration duties.

  • Manages client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination for respective studio in collaboration with project team leadership

  • Prepare Requests for Proposals “RFP’s” and actively bid multiple renovation projects simultaneously to outsource to Design Firms; holds these firms to T+L strict criteria of brand standards, quality, budget and timelines

  • Conducts site visits of resorts with awarded design team, evaluate project scope and budget, meet with key stakeholders

  • Manages weekly project reviews with outsourced designers and internal design to ensure project runs on schedule

Travel Requirements

  • Travel will be required 30% of time. US, Caribbean, Canada, Mexico

What You'll Bring:

  • Accredited professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.

  • Significant experience in the practice area of the studio.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.

  • Familiarity with aspects of construction management, including construction terminology, a working knowledge of codes and life safety, construction documents, sequencing and an overall knowledge of project delivery “from concept to closeout.

  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to work closely with design leaders to promote an interdisciplinary design approach.

  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner.

  • Possess excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCad, preferred

  • Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop

  • Bluebeam Revu

  • Microsoft word, excel, one note

  • 10+ years of experience purchasing in a timeshare or hospitality or construction environment including experience in a leadership role.

Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
