How You’ll Shine:
As an Activities Associate, your job will literally be fun and games. Each day you’ll organize and lead recreational activities to help guests enjoy their vacations and create lifelong memories with their family and friends. In coordination with the Activities Supervisor, you’ll also operate all activity-related areas such as the movie theater, fitness center, pool and cabana, banquet rooms, and tanning rooms.

Will be able to maintain, repair, put together new bicycles as needed. Will operate a golf cart safely and efficiently. Will also be able to maintain and set up pool area daily as well as put up lounge chairs and umbrellas for guests on the beach.  This position will promote Resort Standards and effectively provide services personally or refer requests to the appropriate department manager as needed to exceed guest expectations.

Essential Job Functions
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain all aspects of bicycle mechanics which includes chains, seats, pedals, handlebars, tires, inner tubes, bearings, chain guards and any other bicycle related items.

- Ensure routine maintenance is conducted as bicycles are returned, such as cleanliness, air pressure in tires and chain lubrication. Conduct inventory of bicycles and parts.

- Deliver and pick up bicycles for guests

- Operate a golf cart safely and efficiently: Responsible for notifying manager/supervisor of potential problems and reports accidents or other safety situations. Inspect exterior and interior of golf cart at beginning of each shift. Responsible for ensuring inside and outside of carts are properly cleaned and battery fluids at proper levels on an ongoing basis.

- Set up beach lounge chairs/umbrellas and clean cabana area as needed.

- Conduct pool safety and compliance checks. Test pool water and annotate appropriate log. Notify manager/supervisor of potential problems and report accidents or other safety situations.

- Will fill in as Cafe' barista and Tiki bartender as needed. Required training and certifications (ServSafe and Tips) will be provided.

- Maintain positive customer and associate relationships: Respond appropriately to guest inquiries and concerns to ensure total guest satisfaction. Handle guest issues to resolution in effort to improve the guest experience and escalate any outstanding guest inquiry or concern to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up. Make appropriate service recovery recommendations. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.

- Ensure compliance with: DHEC and Dept of Agriculture standards, Internal Audit, Quality Assurance, Loss Prevention, Resort Operating Procedures, Department Operating Procedure, and Standard Operating Procedures.

- Performs other duties as needed
