The Strategic Sourcing Senior Analyst will utilize analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex business challenges and deliver the most effective analyses and recommendations to support corporate sourcing activities such as RFP analysis, supplier performance analysis, and market research.

The Strategic Sourcing Senior Analyst with report directly to the Manager of Strategic Sourcing and help drive best-in-class analytical practices spanning across the Sourcing department as a whole. The analyst will work closely with both internal and external partners to generate and track rebates, create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and spend reports with financial or supplier information. Applying analytical and critical thinking skills, they will assist in the planning and operationalizing various sourcing projects and other resources in a timely and efficient manner. Must be a creative problem solver with excellent written and verbal communications skills.

How You'll Shine:

  • Develops and maintains reports for savings tracking budget forecasting, spend reporting by category, supplier, etc to enable decision-making for Strategic Sourcing Category Management.
  • Lead all troubleshooting and maintenance of upcoming eProcurement platform acting as main liaison between suppliers and internal partners.
  • Assist in planning and execution of regionally held Supplier Training Meetings including, but not limited to, eliciting supplier participation and sponsorship, tracking of participants, organizing venue and catering, and other duties as needed.
  • Regularly communicate directly with suppliers assisting with development of RFPs, disputing any discrepancies for rebates, and other sourcing needs.
  • Identify reporting needs and create reports as needed to provide data needed by Sourcing management and Key Stakeholders to support the Strategic Sourcing Category Management/Spend and Diversity reporting process.
  • Develop models and forecasts, utilizing analytical tools and generation of non system reporting including ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Facilitate transfer and consolidation of contracts, supplier information, reporting, etc from previous systems/processes to new systems with enhanced capabilities.
  • Responsibility to maintain and enhance department reporting platform to be utilized by all members of strategic sourcing leadership team, ensuring data integrity and troubleshooting any potential issues.
  • Process Improvement – Develop process flows, identify process constraints and implement improvements to the Department.
  • Manage supply chain relationships and work directly with suppliers to identify additional cost savings and revenue generation through new programs or by expanding existing programs.

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in financial or operational analysis, budgeting or forecasting
  • Experience soliciting, gathering and analyzing user input and requirements.
  • Experience authoring requirements, definition and related documentation.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and comfort with data, metrics and statistical methods
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, MIS or Business, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Excellent strategic, analytical and creative thinking aptitude in both an independent and team environment.
  • Working knowledge of financial and statistical analysis.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, be well organized
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with senior management and peers
  • This position works under deadlines and candidate must be able to make prompt, accurate decisions.
  • Advanced knowledge of excel required, access databases, powerpoint, Visio and sharepoint.
  • Understanding of developing custom reporting out of ERP systems preferred.
  • Relational database experience
  • Understanding of Strategic Sourcing Category Management
  • Flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities and challenges
