Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking an innovative and experienced, Senior Director to lead our in-house creative agency team. This leadership role requires a unique blend of creative vision, strategic thinking, and solid leadership skills. The individual will need to balance creative aspirations with business objectives, demonstrating an understanding of how creative work drives brand engagement and business growth.
The Senior Director will play a crucial role in shaping the creative direction of Travel + Leisure Co. and its seven hero brands and ensuring that all creative outputs are in alignment with each brand’s overall mission. Additionally, this leader will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative environment within the creative studio, encouraging innovation and professional development among team members. The Senior Director will report to the SVP, Brand Strategy and will collaborate closely with Brand Management and Brand Delivery teams to execute priority work that drives business success.
How You'll Shine
Lead and inspire a diverse team of creative professionals, including managers overseeing production of video and photography, brand design, and multi-media. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.
Develop and implement innovative creative strategies that align with Travel + Leisure Co.'s brand vision and business goals across multiple brands and all digital and physical channels. Stay abreast of industry trends and consumer insights to inform creative direction and enhance brand positioning. Collaborate with the communications team and create compelling content that enhances brand messaging and storytelling.
Act as a key business partner, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of creative initiatives with overall brand strategy and goals. Liaise with Brand Management and Brand Delivery to prioritize and manage workstreams effectively, ensuring timely delivery of creative projects.
Oversee the creative production process from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality output that engages and inspires our audience. Manage budgets and resources effectively to maximize the impact of creative initiatives.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, design, or a related field
Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, and 5+ years of people leadership, ideally within the travel, hospitality, or lifestyle industries.
Experience working with “3D brands” in modern, lifestyle industries.
Eye for design with the ability to elevate creative work and set high standards of excellence.
Robust portfolio showcasing successful creative campaigns and initiatives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships and influence peers and stakeholders.
Proficient understanding of digital and traditional marketing channels, as well as best practices in multimedia production.
Demonstrated ability to manage and develop large, high-performing teams.
Proven project management skills, including KPI development and adherence to SLAs.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strategic focus on business objectives.
Proficient to expert in Microsoft Office suite.
Working knowledge of creative tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, InDesign, Figma.
Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
