The Project Manager (PM) works with multiple departments across Travel + Leisure to facilitate the planning, implementation, coordination, and compliance monitoring of various building code and operational compliance projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for implementing project action plans, stakeholder analysis, risk management, resource alignment, managing project work and teams, developing project communication, business handoff’s, communicating project status to key project members and stakeholders and performing project postmortems.
How You'll Shine:
Project Management: Manage large and complex projects against timelines, budget, scope, critical path, risk, and end product expectations. Demonstrates and applies broad knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures. Collaborates with project team to remove barriers and maintain project work plans.
Consultation: Effectively partners with leadership to establish the business requirements of each initiative to include project charters, project status reports and other project artifacts. Assesses plans and partners with leadership to resolve organizational impacts and implement mitigation strategies that protect the baseline operations during the project duration. Develops and sustains effective relationships with business partners. Identifies resources needed to complete work and assemble appropriate skills/teams and resources.
Communication: Develops communication plans and schedules regular report outs, gathers project team and holds team accountable for objectives, communicates objectives and ensures completion of deliverables. Participates in the development of the communication strategy for various mediums. Ensures training materials are provided for operations.
Evaluation: Accomplishes project objectives by planning, performing and evaluating project activities through the utilization of project management tools. Facilitates Project Reviews and provides information for audits, status reports, and Executive review meetings.
Performs other duties as needed.
Travel Requirements:
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in related fields or 5+ years directly related experience in a leadership role.
Project Management training or PMI
Understanding of the timeshare industry preferred
Proven ability to drive large-scale projects or processes consisting of cross-functional teams, with strong collaboration and leadership
Must be able to communicate effectively and build solid relationships with individuals at all levels, in multiple geographies and business functions.
Capable of conflict resolution and project risk mitigation
Ability to communicate decisions and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
Expert level of proficiency in MS Office Suite of products, (i.e. Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Basic familiarity with Clarity or other Portfolio / Program Management Software
5+ years of experience in a leadership role or in project management
Proven ability to lead cross-business unit and cross-brand initiatives, with excellent presentation skills and experience facilitating large meetings.
Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
