PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

At Wyndham Destinations our vision is to put the World on Vacation, in your position as the Human Resources Generalist you will be responsible for for actively consulting and supporting the business to optimize the performance of our people and achievement of results through commercially focused and pragmatic HR solutions.

This versatile position involves responsibilities across recruitment, learning & development, employee relations, benefits administration, occupational health and safety, change management, grievances and dispute resolution and HR compliance, ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and fostering a positive workplace environment.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include but not limited to:)

Training:

  • Collaborate with departmental managers to identify training needs and develop training programs that align with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for employees, ensuring engaging and effective delivery of content.
  • Create, update, and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, videos, and e-learning modules as required.
  • Provide all new employees with a comprehensive induction program as part of the First 90 Days to ensure seamless integration into their new roles.
  • Ensure that all mandatory compliance training is conducted on time and maintain records to demonstrate compliance with regulations.
  • Conducts management skills training and follows-up with participants to assess utilization of new skills.
  • Analyses customer service results monthly, identifies trends and conducts customer service trainings.
  • Stay current with training trends and incorporate innovative tools to enhance the training experience.
  • Managing employee enrolment for training, schedule training sessions and organizing the resources to facilitate training programs.

General:

  • Provide end to end recruitment and onboarding support to your client group.
  • Coordinate all employment-related paperwork and ensure it aligns with company standards and procedures
  • Maintain an understanding of all HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are correctly followed and high standards maintained.
  • Maintain data integrity for HRIS, including Workday, Enboarder and other systems.
  • Conduct all compliance related checks (e.g. visa, police checks) on relevant employees.
  • Oversee facilitation of all investigations with client groups regarding employee grievances, disciplinary investigation and terminations whilst maintaining procedural fairness.
  • Attend meetings and become involved with client groups and support them in achieving departmental goals.
  • Work collaboratively to support the Talent Acquisitions and developmement and safety and wellness functional areas of HR.
  • Promote and encourage HR best practice across all areas of the business
  • Perform any other duties required by the Management.

OH&S

  • Take all actions to ensure the property in good working condition with due regard to the health and safety of all persons.
  • Comply with industry best practice and company policy regarding all aspects of WH&S and fire safety for yourself and all other persons.
  • Conducting OHS related trainings with all client groups.

KEY POSITION CRITERIA:

  • Must have a Degree in Human Resources Management.
  • Certificate in Training (Module 1-4) will be an added advantage.
  • Prior work experience as a HR Generalist / Training Officer in a 5-star Resort environment.
  • Must be a registered trainer with knowledge of FNU grant claim processes.
  • A true enthusiasm and passion for training, and desire to make meaningful contribution to continuously enhance our employee experience focus.
  • Strong knowledge of local employment legislations.
  • Knowledge of various training methods including coaching, workshops, classroom training, mentoring, and e-learning programs.
  • Ability to track the performance of training programs, write reports and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible roster including weekends when required.
