Head of Sales & Marketing

Margaritaville Vacation Club, one of our signature brands, has an exciting, newly created executive role. This position will be responsible for creating, implementing, and managing new sales and marketing strategies. Reporting to an Executive Committee member, you will work closely with other executive sales and marketing leaders across the company. Your role will be to develop and execute plans to grow Margaritaville Vacation Club and expand our member base.

How You'll Shine

  • Build and conduct assessments, monitor Sales & Marketing operations that will reflect details of relationship and expectations. Oversee existing sales processes and systems to ensure maximum sales performance; ensure processes and systems are operating as required.

  • Review and monitor operational reporting and key metrics to measure partners and results.

  • Identify business gaps and opportunities that lead to value-added solutions that increase member base, EBITDA, improve owner interaction/experience, and/or create sales and marketing process efficiencies.

  • Initiates and implements new methodologies, processes and procedures that support business long-term and short-term strategies.

  • Manage, leads and influences non-direct-report teams such as vendors and other internal teams.  Builds close relationships for leveraging speed and cooperation of external departments and resources for successful delivery of time-sensitive projects. Ensures all external partners/vendors are aligned as MVC continues to grow and expand, while adding new resorts and products to the portfolio.

  • Set vision of future operation and aligns current and future resources to meet that vision. Define new opportunities, confirm their alignment with the broad vision for the partnerships, and identify the resources needed to ensure success. Partners with senior business leaders to ensure all resource planning management goals, projects, client requests, and vendor services, are related to larger business goals and are appropriately resourced both financially and with the necessary people resources.

  • Oversee resolution of escalated member issues related to sales and cancellations to ensure owner satisfaction while minimizing the financial impact to the company.

  • Create awareness of the MVC brand with the local markets. Develop relationships with area businesses and influential partnerships, to increase marketing opportunities. Establish a presence with local chambers/tourism associations etc. in new markets.

  • Travel Requirements

  • Frequent travel required 40+/-

What You'll Bring

  • B.S. or equivalent in Hotel Administration, General Business, or related discipline required.  Masters preferred

  • 10 plus years of timeshare experience.

  • 5+ year managing P&L and driving results

  • Ability to motivate and develop teams, advance corporate culture, and provide mentorship to staff; either directly or through the ability to drive results by influencing others.

  • Full knowledge, understanding, and command of the interrelated complexities of the timeshare business model.

  • Proven ability to develop and build trusted business and personal relationships with internal and external industry executives alike.

  • Demonstrates ability to effectively negotiate complex transactions, handle multiple projects on short timetables and manage resources efficiently.

  • Mature, professional demeanor, capable of expressing confident, independent judgment.

  • Communication skills, both verbal and written.  Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization

  • Organizational and analytical skills, self-motivated, able to complete work under tight timeframes
