The IT Asset Management Analyst is responsible for supporting the beginning and the end of the Asset Lifecycle. This includes the purchasing of the assets and the initial tracking on the front end and then supporting and coordinating the disposal process at the end. This role is also responsible for ensuring that any software installed on an end user device is properly licensed and approved for use in Wyndham Destinations’ environment. In addition to procuring assets, this role is responsible for the procurement of all equipment consumables for the entire company including remote sites.
How You'll Shine:
- Procurement: Process tickets for hardware & software consumables; Obtain quotes from vendors; Create purchase requisitions in Oracle; Physically receive and tag assets and systematically receive in Oracle; Educate end users in the IT procurement process through communication of intake processes and workflows for asset and consumable requests; Interface with Corporate A/P and Procurement regarding the PO and invoice process for all purchases of IT assets and equipment consumables; Monitor the Invoice on Hold report and action any IT asset items that need to be received; Communicate with end users on ticket status and guidance on product selection
- Asset Management: Enter asset purchases in the Asset Mgmt tool; Control all software license keys maintained in Asset Mgmt tool; Perform periodic physical inventory reconciliations by reconciling counts from stockrooms against the data in the Asset Mgmt tool; Interface with Vendors regarding software licensing, software audits, software auditing tools and services, etc.; Coordinate the disposal of decommissioned assets and close out the assets in the Asset Mgmt tool
- Audit & Compliance: Maintain software entitlement information in Asset Mgmt tool; Perform monthly audits of desktop software deployment; Coordinate and prepare periodic true-ups of licenses under volume license agreements such as Microsoft; Monitor and track consumption-based activity to ensure compliance
- Continuously improve knowledge base and innovation by internally generated research and development initiatives including cross-training with team members.
Travel Requirements
- Infrequent travel is required; approximately 0%-25% depending upon training opportunities and operational needs.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (Information Technology / Computer Science, Finance/Accounting, or Business) or mix of education and experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Basic understanding of software compliance and asset procurement
- Basic understanding of financial budget management and processes
- Strong analysis skills
- Adept at multi-tasking in a fast moving and changing environment
- Ability to organize and analyze large volumes of data and perform data reconciliations
- Ability to organize, create, follow and coordinate the update of documented processes and work instructions
- Work well in a cross functional team environment
- Proactive approach to customer or client challenges, applying problem solving skills to achieve results
- Excellent customer service skills
- General working knowledge of asset management technologies, principles and best practices
- Proficient in MS Office Suite of products
- General working knowledge of cmdb preferred
- Experience with ServiceNow Asset Management tool is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of direct hands-on experience in the fields of service delivery in various formats (Desktop support, Project management, Finance support, etc.)
- Background in IT Operations and/or IT Finance
Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
