Solutions Architect wanted by Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Inc. in Orlando, Florida.
Delivering solution architecture artifacts that allow IT Solutions to function in a focused and aligned environment, while minimizing complexities and unnecessary duplications of capabilities, Partnering with IT managers and portfolio stakeholders to understand business capabilities, outcomes and IT solution objectives. This includes providing a prospective conceptual solution and cost estimation that takes into account the economic impact of design decisions; Defining features, phases and requirements that translate into tangible business value. This includes defining critical, non-functional requirements that enable maximum reliability, availability, performance, scalability, security, compliance, manageability, data quality and integration aspects of solution design and implementation; Developing application and technology roadmaps for assigned application portfolio domains; Participating in IT solution demonstrations and technical reviews to provide oversight which promotes the development of quality technical solutions that support both current and future business needs; Participating in an Architecture Community of Practice to ensure consistency in how emerging designs and tradeoffs are managed, while ensuring that IT solutions are delivered in accordance with agreed upon timelines; Identifying and validating innovative and existing technologies by using rapid prototyping approaches to evaluate and pilot innovations as well as ensuring new products and services can be seamlessly integrated into established business operations; Working with suppliers to ensure the technical characteristics for supplier-delivered capabilities are understood and assisting with the architectural integration of these concerns; Collaborating with fellow architects and solution teams on in-flight projects to provide guidance on enterprise architecture strategy application, development, customization and data and integration methodologies; and Collaborating with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, project and product teams to ensure consistency with the overall architecture strategy and identify the necessity for enterprise architecture modification.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience; 5 years experience in data modeling and use of data modeling tools such as ERWin or ER Studio to capture and render organization data repositories; 5 years experience in applying data architecture best practices to the implementation of Data Warehousing and cloud-based data solutions including Snowflake; 5 years of demonstrated experience defining data integration solutions using data streaming and ETL tools to migrate large datasets to on-premise and cloud-based data warehouses; 5 years of experience in analytical data management schema definitions including experience with Star, Snowflake and Starflake schemas; and 5 years experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) and using Structured Query Language (SQL) to retrieve, create, update, and delete business information.
