Job Summary:

The Vice President, Marketing is expected to have a strong understanding of all areas of marketing including branding, product positioning, B2B strategies, travel product positioning, optimal team structure, marketing operations, and reporting. This individual must have experience leading a marketing team to successfully achieve or exceed stated targets. The VP will be expected to work with internal and external partners to identify areas of opportunity and grow affinity partner revenue as well as drive alignment with regions globally. This individual should have the analytical skills to interpret and report results of marketing efforts, and possess the presentation skills to effectively communicate those results to senior leadership. This role requires the ability to be both tactical and strategic – being the leader of day-to-day marketing activities and managing to a P&L as well as developing and driving overall marketing strategies required to meet or exceed goals. Heavy focus will be on the strategic aspects of developing and executing an overall marketing strategy to move the PTS brand to the next level.

Responsibilities:                                                                                       

  • 40%  Establish and own the overall marketing strategy including brand positioning, partnership approach, and team structure to support goals. As part of this effort: creates PTS go-to-market strategy and B2B positioning, collaborates with the product development team on enhancements and program design to achieve optimal competitive differentiation within the marketplace, and develops strategies to grow strategic partnership opportunities

  • 25%  Manages the marketing team to provide strategic guidance and direction. Collaborates and works cross functionally with internal stakeholders, global counterparts, and other key business partners to optimize marketing across segments, businesses, and regions.

  • 20%  Directs execution of digital marketing, email marketing, and social strategies – consistently improving operational efficiencies, budgets, and reporting – to drive engagement, membership and club revenue.

    • Evaluates marketing results and oversees marketing budget to ensure best use of funds

    • Manages monthly marketing plan to ensure the business is on track to meet goals

  • 15% Oversees the general support and foundation of the PTS marketing organization by: creating solid processes for marketing partnership contracts, working inter-departmentally with other marketing teams to incorporate best practices, and gathering and sharing accurate weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports, along with key insights, to Senior and Executive Management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in business related field

  • 10+ years experience in marketing, preferably in travel or subscription services

  • Experience leading a B2B marketing team to achieve or exceed stated goals

  • Experience developing and executing a branding/marketing strategy from start to finish

  • Experience working successfully across teams in a matrixed corporate environment

  • Experience managing and coordinating global marketing teams

  • Previous experience with a timeshare, hospitality or online travel agency a plus

  • Self-starter with ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to take strategic plans from conception to execution

  • Ability to work effectively across teams globally to achieve results

  • Expert at creating and driving product positioning and messaging across channels

  • Innovative mindset constantly motivated to find new ways to attain goals

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong presentation skills

  • Analytical understanding with the ability to use results to drive change

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to consistently meet deadlines

  • Must be results driven, enjoy problem solving and passionate about being challenged
