The Manager, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for all sourcing activities across Operating Supplies & Equipment, Maintenance Repairs and Operations and Marketing categories (Marketing responsibilities are non-digital). This role will work closely with various stakeholders to identify the appropriate supplier(s) to fulfill supply chain needs for Travel + Leisure and our resort affiliates. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, negotiation of key business terms and conditions, facilitation of the contracting process with internal teams, and supplier management. The Manager will also be required to ensure performance commitments are met by supplier partners and will manage the supplier rebate program.

How You'll Shine:

  • Identify and build new sources of cost savings and income generation through Strategic Category Development Rationalization (includes spend and data analysis)
  • Work proactively with strategic suppliers to discover and generate additional sources of cost savings and revenue through new programs, product innovation or expansion of existing programs and provide analysis and analytical support to endorse their recommendation.
  • Negotiate key Operating Supplies & Equipment, Maintenance Repairs and Operations, Marketing business terms and influence internal and external business partners to achieve departmental goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with resort operations team members, business units, suppliers, HOA Management and the Marketing team in an effort to strengthen the image of Strategic Sourcing and ensure maximum utilization by customers.
  • Collaborate closely with legal to manage supplier contracts and see the process through from conception through expiration
  • Facilitate supplier selection through RFI/RFP process in all categories.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities throughout the sourcing/contracting process.
  • Assist with special projects; program roll-outs, GM Summit/Cornerstone.


Travel Requirements

  • Travel as needed – 10% - Conferences, regional meetings, training, property visits, supplier appointments


What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent work experience required.
  • MBA or equivalent preferred
  • Strong PC Skills (MS Office)
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong knowledge of contracts, the contracting process and contract negotiating skills
  • Capable of taking complex data, analyzing and turning into an easy-to-understand business plan that can be implemented to completion to achieve financial results
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of management (internal and external)
  • Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Sense of urgency
  • Work independently as well as part of a team
  • Develop trust and ability to build positive relationships
  • Strategic thinking, innovative
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
  • Minimum 4+ years contract management and negotiation/supplier management experience
  • Several years of hospitality industry sourcing experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Possesses good written and oral communication skills


Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
