The Sr. Director, Enterprise Services and Data Delivery is responsible for leading the design, development, release, and maintenance efforts of all services/data integrations and data delivery for the enterprise services delivery organization. Directs and manages the data management and data integration services for various business functions and all Data Warehousing and Data Analytics worldwide. Works closely with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify users’ automation requirements and seek out opportunities to build modern API based middleware solutions based on various computing architectures that will improve business processes and support critical business strategies. In addition this role provides thought leadership in the strategic use of these domain technologies in the business. This is a highly collaborative role that works with all enterprise functions and business units in developing new data driven operating models and ensuring that the necessary data pipelines support platform outcomes and experiences. This position reports directly to the VP of Application Delivery and Data Services and works closely with IT Architecture, Engineering, Cloud Services and Operations on various IT initiatives where global multiplatform integration development and Data Analytics are needed.
The Sr. Director will closely collaborate with their customers in examining solution options and are responsible for planning and managing the middleware, service/data integration, data management and data analytics applications utilizing modern API and cloud based platforms. The role has a critical responsibility for building a sufficient and effective workforce with the right blend of technical, business, customer, and interpersonal skills to balance multiple project priorities.
The Sr. Director will partner closely with the VP of Application and Data Services in establishing a robust software engineering practice that is well aligned with the SDLC processes using agile methodology.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Participate in the formulation of the company's IT strategy, business system architecture plans, assessing cost and feasibility of system requests and ensuring the plan supports both strategic and near-term needs
Will be responsible for establishing the framework and driving integration activities by designing and implementing a strategy that supports the standardization and reuse of assets.
Work with the finance department and various function managers to ensure project costs and schedules are properly estimated and controlled
Collaborate with customers, vendors, industry consultants, and senior company management to define service levels
Integrate activities with business units and other IT departments to ensure the successful implementation and support of project efforts
Act as general expert within the IT organization to develop appropriate support for projects from various technology and service departments
Create a high performance and collaborative team environment
Represent Application Development organization in the capacity definition and work planning sessions coordinated by the PMO
Partner with the VP of Application Delivery and Data Services in improving the delivery planning & estimation capabilities, spearheading various initiatives around improving the software engineering tools & processes
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field (or equivalent work experience).
Master’s degree preferred
Knowledge and skills
Ability to lead dynamically and energize multi-disciplined work teams to learn and apply new skills/techniques to respond to business needs
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
Strong project management skills; experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from the envisioning stage through to implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors; ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional environment
Knowledge of the company’s business practices and direction, as well as familiarity with the company’s products and resources
Knowledge and experience in developing strategic information systems plans
Excellent human resource management skills
Technical Skills
Significant experience in implementing and supporting enterprise services applications using API, OSB and middleware tools. Google Apigee, Oracle OSB strongly preferred.
Strong experience and knowledge of modern data management and data integration tools, programming languages, relational databases, data transformation and development frameworks. Informatica Power Center, IICS strongly preferred
Proven experience with data and cloud platforms – Snowflake preferred.
Deep understanding of architectural recommendations and application development designs and estimations
Significant experience implementing and supporting data analytics applications. Oracle Analytics, Power BI, Data bricks strongly preferred
Familiarity with SOX/PCI and similar compliance protocols
Deep understanding of Familiarity with application architectures and enterprise application ecosystems
Job experience
15+ years of IT experience, including development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale enterprise integration services tools and platforms across multiple hardware and software platforms; significant experience and knowledge in new computing architectures
8+ years of experience in leading teams in software delivery management and execution involving multiple major development projects in data management, data integration and analytics delivery
5+ years of management experience in which one or more of the following has occurred:
Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management
Successful development and implementation of applications in new computing architecture environments using new and emerging technologies
A track record of managing technical staff through various life-cycle phases (cross-functional experience highly desirable)
Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary, high-performance work teams/groups
Experience managing financial resources to meet goals and multiple projects
Demonstrated high competency in project management and the execution of multiple large projects, including managing resources across multiple projects to meet goals
Developed efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
Hospitality IT experience preferred
Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
