Software Engineer III wanted by Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Inc. in Orlando, Florida. Perform analysis, design, development, and implementation of IT strategic applications and data services. This includes assisting with solution design efforts and impact analysis for varying sizes of critical applications and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed; Utilize Java, J2EE, Spring framework, Spring BOOT, Spring Web MVC, Hibernate, RESTful, JSON, and Angular JS, to design and develop strategic IT applications; Work on integration layer to build micro/web Services, service oriented architecture (SOA) & API; Implement SOLID design patterns, data modeling, and SOA principles and development methodologies; and Work on continuous development and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline); Analyze complex business systems requirements and designs solutions for applications, data, processes, interfaces, controls, outputs, environment, and infrastructure tools/utilities; Work on highly integrated application systems, platforms, data flows, and business processes; Work on CI/CD software such as GitOps, GitLab, Jenkins, and TFS, to integrate with code quality software such as SonarQube to check the code quality; and Perform AWS or Azure Cloud integrations and migrations; Ensure that disruption to applications is minimized through analysis and planning and testing of proposed software fixes and updates; and ensure adherence to strict change management processes. This includes conducting deep dive analysis of application issues across the full stack (UI, middleware, microservices, data) and recommending solutions; Assist application services teams with technical support when required between applications and other IT technical engineering groups including operational, maintenance and modification of interfaces and reports, as well as general technical modifications; and Anticipate and identify potential problems before they occur and implement solutions and schedules in order to minimize impact on projects and users.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience; 5 years of experience in design and development of applications using Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate and REST; 3 years of experience in developing applications in Microservices architecture; 3 years of experience in CI/CD using any combination of GIT, TFS or Jenkins; 3 years of experience in writing Junit or Spring Test cases and; 3 years of experience with Oracle.
