The Property Tax Senior Analyst handles a portfolio of projects, performing property tax services such as valuation analyses, annual compliance, assessment negotiations, value accuracy confirmation, forecasts, process improvements, bill review, and payment approvals. They must build and maintain relationships with internal teams (Business Management, Resort Operations, Site Leadership) and external customers (County/State assessors, Tax Collectors, 3rd Party Vendors). Proficiency in MS Excel and other tools is required, with advanced skills in Excel, RPA (Power apps), and Alteryx preferred.
How You'll Shine:

Research - Populate and maintain assigned timeshare properties’ values, deadline dates, taxes and property characteristics year over year in a timely manner.

Valuation - Perform real property analyses for assigned timeshare properties utilizing in depth valuation models and approaches to include, among others, (1) the Sales Comparison Approach, (2) Cost Approach, (3) Income Approach and (4) the timeshare points valuation model for the purpose of determining equitable assessments

Appeal – Occasionally negotiate with and present valuation analyses and methodologies to county assessors’, county boards of equalization and various jurisdictional courts, as necessary, for the purpose of reducing overall property tax liabilities and oversee the appeals process for assigned properties.

Compliance - Prepare tangible personal property tax returns and conduct personal property tax budget and forecasting.

Budgeting and Reconciliation - Prepare property tax estimates for annual budgets, reconcile and maintain monthly property tax accrual reconciliations and ensure all property taxes for assigned properties are paid on time.

Ad hoc - Performs other job-related duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's in accounting or equivalent, CMI Designation a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong accounting background.
- Must be self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of various teams.
- Must be detail oriented, proactive and have good analytical skills.
- Ability to analyze and reconcile large data sets.
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with Property Tax valuation
- Ability to remain even keeled, and professional in stressful situations; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Works effectively under pressure while meeting applicable deadlines.
- Excel proficiency - intermediate
- PeopleSoft Preferred
- Power apps (a plus)
- Alteryx (a plus)
- 3 years (minimum) tax experience; experience in hospitality/lodging industry a plus; some public accounting experience is preferred.
Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
