The Sales Specialist will play a pivotal sales operations role in supporting the national sales team for our cutting-edge sports event management software, Playbook365. The primary focus will be on day-to-day sales team support focused on new client lead generation and discovery for our sports event management solution (Playbook) and our event housing technology (Staybook).
This role is essential in ensuring the continued growth and success of Playbook365’s strategic business plan by qualifying leads, conducting early-stage Needs Analysis/Discovery, delivering data-driven insights, assisting in developing compelling sales materials, collaborating across national sales team on daily support, and handling initial outreach to curated prospect lists.
How You'll Shine:
- Work closely with each national sales manager on early-stage pipeline procurement
- Conduct initial opportunity outreach to curated prospects to drive lead generation and prospect discovery.
- Track and analyze the PTS sales pipeline, providing regular updates on lead development.
- Monitor introduction-to-close timelines, sales patterns, and communication metrics to inform future planning.
- Daily engagement in HubSpot/CRM tool to centralize all sales pipeline efforts.
- Collaborate with leadership and finance on past performance indicators to exceed annual revenue targets.
- Support internal teams to develop financial models for new partner opportunities.
- Provide analysis and insights to assist NSM and Sales Director in formulating business plans and proposals to acquire new partnerships.
- Work with NSM’s ,Marketing, Brand, and Legal teams to ensure sales materials are aligned with Playbook356’s messaging and brand identity.
- Coordinate internal communications to promote successes and best practices across the sales and account servicing team.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales managers to develop generic presentations, conference materials, and sales collateral for the Sales team.
- Tailor materials to highlight Playbook365’s strengths, aligning them with the specific needs of potential partners and industry events.
- Identify new messaging and partnership opportunities based on industry trends and competitor moves.
- Lead initiatives to optimize partner engagement and create confidence in Playbook365’s products through targeted communications.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or similar equivalent.
- Hubspot certification a plus
- Experience in sales operations support, business development, or a similar role within a B2B or travel-related industry.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales metrics and financial models.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of crafting compelling narratives for potential partners.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Marketing, and Legal.
- Proficiency in sales reporting and CRM systems.
- Sales Support – 1+ year(s) of stable and successful sales support experience.
- Hands-on experience with digital technologies, a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the youth sports landscape, key players, and leading companies.
- Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Self-Motivation: Self-directed and driven to exceed goals.
- Technology Presentations: Experience with sales presentations in a technology environment is a plus.
Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
