The Retention Marketing Specialist will be responsible for executing a high volume of marketing campaigns focused on driving RCI Member retention.  This includes being a day to day contact to execute campaigns within our Omni-channel operation. The ideal candidate will have solid communication skills and the ability to report out on performance of the campaigns they support.  This individual should have a passion for marketing as well as have a working knowledge of new emerging channels for messaging consistency. They should be highly motivated, eager to learn and someone who will seek to constantly improve campaign results through testing, innovation and optimization. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and focus on multiple deliverables as well as being extremely flexible to change plans based on specific business needs is required. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

1. Execute and optimize various direct response marketing campaigns to the NA RCI Member base member base to drive member retention in all phases of the renewal lifecycle.

  • Build knowledge and understanding of the value proposition of RCI membership, with specific focus on driving transactions through member education and renewals via execution of appropriate marketing strategy.

  • Assist with proactive and reactive retention efforts for members in all phases of the renewal lifecycle.  Oversee campaign execution process from start to finish, this includes: preparing creative and audience briefs, defining and selecting proper audience segments, setting up promotional offers, legal reviews, cross checking and QA of all campaign proofs.

  • Adhere to campaign process flow and manage to strict campaign deadlines.

  • Track performance of marketing campaigns and communicate key learnings.

  • Work in a cross functional team to execute campaigns including Database Management, Revenue Management, Finance, Creative Design and e-commerce.

  • Coordinate closely with key stakeholders within the Marketing team as well as other key functions for operational efficiency as well as to take advantage of synergies, when appropriate.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to maintain proper communications and compliance standards

  • Provide support and assistance of Omni-channel contact streams including email, direct mail, digital, social, mobile, and call-center.

  •  Help coordinate the campaign execution process from start to finish, this includes: assisting with the preparation of  creative and audience briefs, defining and selecting proper audience segments, setting up promotional offers, legal reviews, cross checking and QA of all campaign proofs.

  • Interpret survey data, make recommendations on improvements, and collaborate with Contact Center and Customer Service to remediate issues.

  • Provide support to assist with the development of strong creative/copy by providing direction to the Brand team, as well as managing the print fulfillment, email and digital vendor relationships.

  • Understand marketing expense and budgeting process to ensure campaigns are aligned.

2. Prepare and communicate out weekly, monthly and quarterly campaign summaries including results, lessons learned and key data points.

3. Ensure continual innovation in work product – drive improvement for optimal campaign results and formulate ideas on how to drive new member registration, activation and retention rates.

Travel Requirements

Some travel may be required – less than 10%

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

Education

  • BA/BS in Marketing/Sales or business related field

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of retention processes within a closed-membership or subscription based company

  • Understanding of member lifecycle, marketing segmentation and the ability to create journeys

  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and efficiently meet multiple project deadlines

  • Ability to think creatively to problem solve

  • Innovative focus with an eye on constant measured improvements

  • Solid data analysis and problem solving skills

  • Ability to successfully communicate both verbally and in writing

  • Demonstrate sound business judgment and decision making skills

  • Build and foster collaborative relationships

  • Eagerness to learn and a drive to succeed

  • Travel/Hospitality experience a plus

Technical Skills

  • Exceptionally proficient in Microsoft Office - particularly Excel and Power Point

  • Working knowledge of WordPress and managing web content

  • Previous experience using graphic software a plus: Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator

Job experience

  •  2+ years of marketing experience and working knowledge of marketing segmentation/lifecycle

Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
