The Wyndham Destinations Internship program is designed to allow the intern the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally.

This semester long program will allow the intern and Wyndham Destinations to evaluate the intern for a potential permanent full-time employment. The intern will be allowed to explore career options related to one’s interest, determine key strengths and talents and what they are passionate about. At Wyndham Destinations our mission is simple, to put the world on vacation.

This is a paid Internship program and will encompass the following:

• Overview of company values and expectations

• Understanding of Vacation Ownership vs. Hotel Operations

• Rotation into different departments

Rotations include but are not limited to: Guest Services, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Business Operations. The length of each department will depend on business needs and objectives at the time of the rotation. The purpose of the rotations is to allow for a better understanding of the company as a whole and learn how each department contributes to the overall success of Wyndham Destinations.

• Weekly mentor meetings – Touch base on a weekly basis to discuss the program, share progress, and ask questions.

• Weekly journaling- Designed for the intern to track their thoughts, self- reflection, progress and development.

• Complete Workday mandatory compliance courses.

• Final Presentation presented to the leadership team. The presentation will allow the intern to:

• Share their experiences by summarizing the program and rotations

• Core accomplishments and challenges

• Personal development growth

Minimum Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Currently pursuing a degree in hospitality or business management preferred

• Knowledge and Skills

• Professional appearance and a positive, can-do attitude

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write and understand English Ability to solve problems with a minimum of supervision

• Basic math skills and knowledge of proper cash handling procedures

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment

• Attention to detail and strong organizing skills

• Ability to stand for long period of time

• Capable of performing repetitious duties

• Must have physical stamina to lift, carry, push and pull moderate amounts of weight

• Ability to work flexible schedule and various shifts, including but not limited to, days, nights, weekends and holidays.

• Technical Skills:

• Basic computer and office skills

• Ability to work independently or with others as needed

Job Experience:
One year of customer service experience in a service or retail environment preferred.
