PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include but not limited to:)

  • Payroll administration and processing of the Fortnightly payrolls for approx. 250 employees in total, across AUS, Fiji & NZ. 
  • Fortnightly timesheets review and processing, bonus & Incentive payment processing.  
  • Provide backup and data entry support to payroll officers for the processing of other fortnightly payrolls and miscellaneous tasks.
  • Keep all information in the Payroll & Time & Attendance systems up to date with new employees and general data maintenance.
  • Carry out requests in a timely manner
  • Run ‘End of Payroll’ - reports, fortnightly for all Payroll companies, ensuring these are completed within required timeframes.
  • Ensure Compliance Fairwork, policies, and Modern Awards.
  • Display exceptional service to all internal and external parties. 
  • Display innovation through inspiring, creating and improving processes and products. 
  • Show integrity in all aspects of the position, taking responsibility and delivering on the promise. 
  • Display leadership values by ensuring effective communication and respecting your peers and managers.  Support others within the team and empower each other wherever possible. 

KEY POSITION CRITERIA:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Abreast of Fairwork compliance and exposure on interpretation of Modern Awards – Clerks & HIGA (essential)
  • High attention to detail (essential)
  • High productivity in output  (essential)
  • Intermediate Excel skills (essential)
  • Previous exposure to working within payroll 5 years min (essential)
  • Ability to take ownership for area of responsibility, but also to take advice and direction from other Payroll team members
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment  and work to critical deadline
  • A strong team player with a desire to continuously improve, both personally and professionally
