The Oracle EBS (Financials Functional Lead will be responsible for the end to end support of the Oracle eBusiness Suite Financials and Human Resources Suite of applications, relative to the respective business units under a 24/7 support structure, in collaboration with an offshore managed services provider.

The Oracle Financial Systems Functional Lead will be responsible for driving support solutions and improving key business processes.

The Oracle Financial Systems Functional Lead will establish and maintain positive business relationships with managers and staff in their functional areas, demonstrate a thorough understanding of the business, business processes and how they relate to Oracle eBS module configuration and standard functionality and will be comfortable with managing changing priorities.

The position will work with business process owners to identify, design and present/drive solutions to enable business process improvements and serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide Oracle eBS Financials and Human Resource core module production support leveraging onshore and offshore resources.
  • Work with Oracle support to resolve product related issues and escalate as necessary within the Oracle Critical Accounts contact.
  • Drive critical discussions on functional process changes, and present findings and key metrics in formal presentations with business counterparts.
  • Conduct feasibility and cost analysis studies for applicable enhancements and new initiatives.
  • Liaise with end-users on clarification of incidents/problems and provide impact analysis when applicable.
  • Work closely with end users to identify and explain process and data discrepancies.
  • Manage service improvement initiatives with Business Super Users, internal IT and project teams and vendors in identifying and leading evolutions in system performance, availability, and data quality.
  • Support of month-end Financial close for all eBS Sub-Ledgers and General Ledger as well as HR related processes.
  • Address all system related issues with appropriate timeliness to ensure compliance with the Financial Close schedule.
  • Document best practices, issue resolution approach and root cause analysis.
  • Actively participate in application upgrades, fully understand new and enhanced functionality delivered by the upgrade, become familiar with the upgrade test scripts, and provide reliable post-upgrade support.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS/TECHNOLOGIES/TOOLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related quantitative or scientific field with over 3 years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified above.
  • At-least three full implementation or upgrade Software Development Life Cycle experiences with Oracle Financials Release 10.5 through Fusion Applications, with regard to the design, development, testing, implementation and support of Oracle Financials and Human Resources applications.
  • At-least three years’ experience acting as functional subject matter expert on Oracle Finance specific modules within the Procure to Pay, Order to Cash and Account to Report processes.
  • At-least one years’ experience acting as functional subject matter expert on Oracle Human Resources HRMS.
  • At-least three years’ experience with inter-modular relationships between Oracle Financials, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management and integration with tier 1 best of breed third party applications.
  • At-least three years’ experience in design, setup, and configuration of Oracle R12 modules.
  • Familiarity with SQL, PL/SQL, and using SQL developer tools to build and execute queries.
  • Solid understanding of Oracle Applications Technology foundation, design and development using tools Oracle Forms, reports, Workflow, XML Publisher, Oracle Database and SQL loader.
  • 3 years of experience with Application Object Library (AOL), Concurrent Manager and Flex fields.
  • At-least three years’ of experience in supporting language and country specific localizations and globalizations with regard to statutory and regulatory compliance. In depth knowledge of LATAM and APAC statutory requirements, localizations and globalizations preferred.
  • Strong functional, analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience managing onshore and offshore consultants within a 24/7 support model.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; competency in written and spoken Spanish desired.
