The Marketing Manager position provides strategic and collaborative marketing leadership to APAC hotels, and is responsible for leading and driving marketing initiatives for multiple properties with a key focus on Indonesian and Thai properties, as well as South Pacific.

This role is a key member of the executive committee entrusted to ensure client, guest and owner satisfaction across Indonesia hotels as priority, and secondary all Asia Pacific hotels. This position is responsible for staying ahead of marketing trends and opportunities and collaborating with Sales and Revenue teams to ensure properties meet or exceed the hotel sales financial performance.

The Marketing Manager is also responsible for the implementation and effective execution of tactical marketing campaigns in support of the resort’s strategic plans and sales and marketing projects. This will include driving the overall group marketing strategy to grow online brand presence, optimize the digital experience for customer interaction and ensure high level customer service both on-site and digitally, to achieve KPIs and generate revenue.  This role is responsible for monitoring, engaging and responding to interactions across multiple social media profiles and platforms or delegating to hotel teams to manage effectively.

This role will work closely with resorts to develop and implement programs to encourage employee morale, inter-department communication and teamwork effectiveness across the multiple properties. This role will also work closely with the Innovative Holiday Club sales and marketing teams to ensure a seamless guest experience across club and hotel activities, and will contribute to cross-team marketing tactics to deliver IHC KPIs.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with Senior Marketing Manager to create, track and measure sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Drive marketing campaigns across all resorts in collaboration with individual resort DoSM teams.
  • Partner with group Revenue Management teams to develop attractive marketing campaigns with cost effective packages unique to each hotel.
  • Execute the annual Marketing Plan including above the line marketing initiatives and below the line tactical campaigns on property
  • Attend the General Managers weekly meeting to outline the week’s objectives, and expectations.
  • Work with the General Manager and Multi-Property DoSM to create and monitor SMART Plans to drive market share according to local market demand.
  • Mentor, motivate and lead each member of the marketing team to achieve a high level of performance and ensure consistent execution of their strategic plans to accomplish their individual goals.
  • Facilitate on property promotion of department specific initiatives, such as Food and Beverage, On-site spa and other revenue driving departments
  • Oversee the management of the mobile concierge apps such as Handigo application onsite for improved guest experience, increased revenues for property and management of updates to the application on a regular basis
  • Oversee the creation and execution of on property marketing collateral, including signage, in-room compendiums, check-in collateral, on-site digital signage and other ad-hoc opportunities
  • Conduct daily/weekly marketing meetings to set and monitor marketing goals including social media marketing initiatives, room night and revenue goals progress and reach. - Determine the marketing department staffing needs and present recommendations to the General Manager. Be involved in the recruiting, selecting, hiring and training of hotel marketing team members. - Develop marketing goals and KPIs, and create succession plans for marketing individuals targeted for future growth within Wyndham organization.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, training and development of marketing team members and address areas of growth and opportunity.
  • Initiate online marketing efforts, working in collaboration with Group and Multi-Property Marketing Managers and track ROI on all sales advertising & marketing spend.
  • Organize and promote, in cooperation with the Food & Beverage Department, special projects to stimulate Food & Beverage sales within the community, including, but limited to, tournaments, balls, parties, wedding showcase and gastronomic events
  • Prepare annual marketing business and budget plans.
  • Operate the marketing department within established marketing expense budget in line with the sales department
  • Monitor all day to day activities of direct reports.
  • Analyze and submit any required reports as requested by General Managers and Group DoSM.

MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement key marketing strategies and manage global, regional and local accounts to drive revenue growth in excess of budget at multiple hotels across all segments.
  • Strategically control and coordinate on-site marketing initiatives to maximize profitability at every hotel.
  • Review and understand metrics and data in the daily sales and revenue management reports to identify trends and future demand opportunities and how marketing function can support these.
  • Monitor all strategic and tactical marketing plans in the market to ensure maximum revenues, ROI measurements and delivery on objectives per tactical campaign
  • Leverage on Wyndham Destinations, Club Wyndham Asia, Wyndham Vacation Clubs, Wyndham Rewards, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, corporate and global brand programs.
  • Review the monthly marketing activities and report on key strategic and marketing campaigns to ensure campaigns have delivered maximum KPIs to each hotel in the Bali and Lombok.
  • Attend and contribute in all revenue, sales and marketing strategy meetings and calls.
  • Assist with site visits and host activities and programs for respective accounts at the hotel.
  • Participate in tradeshows, industry and customer events as appropriate
  • Direct photography and videography of the property and assets as appropriate
  • Oversee the daily management and ongoing maintenance of the property websites and social media platforms, including marketing promotions and activities
  • Assist with the property participation in global and regional campaigns including promotion of campaigns on social media and other platforms
  • Assist the Sales, Revenue and Operations teams to drive leads and business opportunities across key campaigns and ad hoc opportunities
  • Recommend and implement marketing programs to improve online ranking and improve bookings through OTA, Metasearch sites, Brand.com and property website.
  • Other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the General Managers.

KEY POSITION CRITERIA:

  • Ability to understand and communicate market trends, demand generators, supply/demand and economic factors affecting hotel performance.
  • Ability to identify the relevant key marketing opportunities and strategies and implement tactical campaigns to generate ROI
  • Excellent knowledge of the digital travel landscape, and experience with multi-channel marketing, including digital marketing, social media marketing
  • Understand how to maximize the relationships with key media and agencies for revenue outcomes
  • Highly proficient in writing and implementing strategic marketing campaigns with measurable outcomes
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesian
  • Strong management and leadership skills, collaborative with key departments on property
  • Energetic and highly performance driven with strong analytical skills.
  • Results driven, focused and passionate with a hands-on approach and attitude.
  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • A leader who easily connects with people at all levels including hotel owners and senior leadership at WynD, through to all F&B, cleaning and service staff.
