The Director, Travel + Leisure Club Membership Marketing is the subject matter expert in consumer membership marketing and brings strategic marketing acumen, with a strong understanding of all areas of marketing including branding, product positioning, messaging, B2C strategies, travel product positioning. They will be responsible for developing the digital transformation and global marketing strategies for Travel + Leisure subscription business. This role will oversee the creation of the annual marketing plan, corresponding marketing operations budgets and KPI’s including oversite of qualitative and quantitative analysis of digital commerce performance. In this role the Director will lead the development of the overall direction and strategy related to 360 integrated marketing and communications campaigns, including websites, e-commerce, database marketing, email, paid media, public relations, social media and offline programs. It will be the responsibility of this role to work with internal and external partners and agencies on the execution of these strategies. The Director, Travel + Leisure Club Membership Marketing is a subject matter expert and brings strategic marketing acumen, with a strong understanding of all areas of marketing including branding, product positioning, messaging, B2C strategies, travel product positioning, optimal team structure, marketing operations, and reporting.

The Director will collaborate with the Revenue Yield team and the Club Management teams to drive financial and member growth performance metrics. This role is responsible for communicating marketing performance metrics on a daily, weekly and monthly cadence.

The Director is responsible for building a top marketing team by fostering an inclusive and diverse approach to hiring, managing, developing and growing top talent. They will be a strong leader and manager of people. Excellent coaching, mentoring, and prioritization skills are a must, along with the ability to develop personalized development plans for their marketing team members in order to grow their skills and nurture their marketing careers. The Director directly manages a team of 2 marketing team members including integration to a centralized internal subject matter experts in each channel within the PTS Club Marketing Organization.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Planning/Partnering

  • Execute go-to-market strategy and B2C membership positioning to achieve optimal competitive differentiation within the marketplace and develops strategies to grow membership.
  • Develop strategic campaigns and partner with internal and external teams to drive programs across various digital channels while maximizing results to meet targeted KPIs.
  • Develop and direct lead generation strategies, data capture solutions and back-end integration of lead capture.
  • Must have the ability to develop strong relationships with various business stakeholders through partnership and collaboration.
  • Identify and partner with internal and external teams to plan new digital marketing programs that maximize conversions and ROI for business initiatives.
  • Partner and maintain alignment with business partners, IT partners and legal.
  • Develop and report on programs in terms of key drivers such as leads generated, cost reductions, lead conversions, bookings/reservations, and ROI generated.


Marketing Development

  • Develop robust marketing programs and execute on channels that will drive incremental revenue from lead generation, media buys, SEO/PPC, email, mobile, and social platforms.
  • Authors integrated marketing and communication briefs for written documentation of program objectives and results.
  • Manage execution of CRM solutions supporting online initiatives.
  • Oversee and manage marketing projects to ensure deadlines and goals are met.
  • Oversee and manage marketing programs through legal submission/review, and IT/Security review.


Response reporting

  • Report to senior leadership on strategy, direction, effect to key drivers and overall campaign results.
  • Work with integration teams and data analytics platforms to enable campaign performance reporting, modeling and business insights.
  • Report on key drivers and performance metrics for various campaigns to optimize decision making and maximize conversions.


Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • MBA preferred.


Knowledge and skills

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A strong team player who understands the complexities of a multi-brand and matrix organization
  • Ability to successfully communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrate sound business judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
  • Expert at creating and driving product positioning and messaging across channels
  • Strong knowledge of design, brand, content – video, photography and editorial
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Travel/Hospitality experience
  • Experience with Google, Salesforce, Adobe a plus
  • Experience managing both ad agencies and in-house creative teams
  • Superior skills in MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to construct compelling PowerPoint presentations based on target audience


Job experience

  • 10+ years of Highly Proven experience in Consumer Marketing and Brand experience leadership, preferably in travel, hospitality and/ or subscription services industries
  • 10+ years of Highly Proven experience with 360 integrated, multi-channel marketing, with proven campaign success across offline channels (direct mail, print, telemarketing, out of home, experiential) and online/digital channels (email, paid digital, SMS/text, mobile app), with responsibility for driving conversions
  • Experience developing and executing a branding and performance marketing strategy Go to Market plan
  • Experience working successfully across teams in a matrixed corporate environment, across regional and global teams to achieve results
  • Experience managing and coordinating integrated marketing teams, through a centralized headquarter

Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
