The Lead Software Engineer is a technology savvy individual with exemplary knowledge of industry trends and best practices and applies them successfully in his/her areas of work. The individual will play a key role as an Agile team member providing direct coding support to the team(s) to successfully deliver enhancements for revenue generating e-commerce and/or call center applications. The individual will lead and actively participate in team and technology advancement activities, conduct design and code reviews. This person will provide technical guidance to Agile Team members, coach and mentor them, be a technology leader and guide the organization in innovations, tools and champion our Agile principles.

How You'll Shine:

  • Software Analysis, Estimation, Solution Design, and Development Oversight

  • Participate in Studying, Developing and Implementing COE Best Practices & Standards

  • Coaching and Mentoring

  • Prototype and Proof of Concept Development

  • Conduct Design and Code Reviews

What You'll Bring:

  • BS in Computer Science/Information Systems or Engineering

  • Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban)

  • General understanding of activities across the Application Development discipline

  • Develop high-volume web applications using Java 1.8 / J2EE Framework.

  • 8+ years of experience in hands-on development of enterprise web applications leveraging

    • J2EE Technologies – Core Java, JSPs, REST and SOAP Web Services, JDBC

    • Web Technologies- HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax

    • Version Control – Bit Bucket, SVN, TFS

    • Application Server – Weblogic, Tomcat, Apache

  • 2+ years Micro-services development experience (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)

  • Experience with log analysis and monitoring tools such as Splunk and AppDynamics

  • Experience in SQL, Oracle or any other RDMBS database

  • Experience with any of the continuous integration tools such as Jenkins is a plus

  • Experience in AWS technologies(EC2,S3,Cloud Front, RDS) is a plus

  • Experience with TDD, code testability standards, JUnit/Mockito is a plus
