The Manager, Strategic Sourcing IT is responsible for leading sourcing activities for the Information Technology business unit. They will leverage industry best practices to develop and manage new and existing contract renewals for all software/hardware/services within IT domain. They will ensure efficient procurement of IT goods and services, effective contract lifecycle management, compliance with vendor licensing agreements, accurate budget forecasting, and will champion a strategic procurement process that adds value. They will also work with other Travel + Leisure Co. business unit leaders and identify opportunities to standardize and enhance IT processes for efficiencies.
How You'll Shine:
Act in the capacity of subject matter expert for all contract-related activities.
- Understand contracting market trends, align the right contract structure to business needs and expectations, track, gather and analyze market and industry data
- Act as the principal contract negotiator and develop contract terms, conditions, modifications, penalties and incentives
- Understand licensing models
- Partner with Legal and key stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with strategic vendors
- Work collaboratively with IT resources to establish goals to reduce annual recurring maintenance spend
- Maintain vendor score cards and report performance against agreements ensuring all vendors/suppliers meet quality and service requirements while maintaining competitive prices
Oversee the development, maintenance, and management of processes that ensure the company remains in compliance with all licensing and use terms.
- Lead as subject matter expert, assisting groups within and outside of IT with hardware/software purchasing and licensing knowledge
- Identify process and technical gaps and develop plans to reduce deficiencies
- Recognize and identify potential areas where existing systems, policies, and procedures require change or where new ones need to be developed
Assist in financial planning/analysis, capital procurement, invoice processing, and budgeting of products processes.
- Manage procurement lifecycle from inception, to negotiation, to implementation/purchase, to invoice payment, to timely review (QBR)
- Work with management to forecast spend
- Develop and produce relevant financial reports to stakeholders
Drive continuous improvements in areas of contract management, capital procurement, licensing management and vendor management.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Business, or equivalent years of experience and training
- Minimum 10 years IT, Business or related field
- 7+ year’s management experience within an IT environment
- 7+ year’s experience negotiating and managing contract life cycles, with an emphasis on technology and/or IT service agreements
- 7+ year’s experience working with Legal and procurement teams
- 5 year’s experience managing software licensing and external software audits
- Prior work experience with procurement of IT services, Enterprise software tools and Hardware/Telecom
- Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
- Exceptional knowledge of market analysis, sourcing category strategy, supplier relationship management and negotiations, supplier continuous improvement programs
- Strong ability to determine contractual and financial exposure
- Advanced key procurement skills
- Superb analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Great relationship and interpersonal skills in working with vendors
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Knowledge of critical procurement legal requirements and contracting best practices
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple concurrent activities while meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Can demonstrate influence at an Executive Level both internally and externally
- Licensing knowledge and product use rights for cloud, hardware, MS Suites, Cisco, Oracle, Adobe, etc.
- Proven experience using MS Office Suite of products; MS Office
- Proficient with using Oracle Purchasing or similar system
Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
