The IT Infrastructure Engineer II acts as technical subject matter expert for day to day activities (plan, design, configure) related to technology deployments for Wyndham Destination sites and facilities (fulfillment) projects. Has direct contact with the project management and technology project and support teams ensuring Wyndham Destination technology requirements and integration dependencies are understood and incorporated into execution plans.
How You'll Shine:
- Contribute to cost models and diagram packages. Individual will be part of the IT leadership on small construction projects representing IT. This includes structured cabling, main distribution frame design, intermediate distribution frame design and any other IT needs required for construction projects. Individual will have overall responsibility for IT delivery of technology for the site during construction and warranty after implementation of technologies.
- Directly involved in the technical delivery components related to planning, installation (as needed), testing, deployment, and support (escalation of issues not resolved at first or second level) of all site technologies which include LAN operations and design, network security (firewall), servers, routers, MDF security cameras, UPS, along with cabling. This includes the integration of multiple technologies which facilitate site operation functions.
- Works with the IT Site Infrastructure/Operations Manager, project managers, and business sponsors to assess and adjust project priorities as needed to meet the overall needs of the organization with supervision.
- Works with all technical teams to map technical integration points and ensure proper support documentation is in place with supervision.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor degree in related field (preferably engineering) or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
- Continuing Education in Technology used by Wyndham Destinations
- Solid customer service skills
- Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Organizational, analytical, and problem determination/resolution skills
- Ability to assess status and prioritize multiple concurrent projects at the task level
- Ability to work in a team structure, driving to aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment amongst IT professionals
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and subjects in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work and effectively communicate with peers and outside vendors
- Moderate level of server infrastructure understanding
- Moderate level network and telecommunications architectural understanding
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite of products; MS Office, Visio and Project
- Capable of reviewing construction documents to the level of communicating technology infrastructure requirements.
- 5+ years of work experience in a medium to large diverse in-depth, enterprise-wide technical environment integrating, implementing and supporting technologies, specifically around network and telecommunication and client/server integration.
- 2+ years of work experience in a medium to large technical environment supporting infrastructure that supports the development and the deployment of business software applications
