JOB SUMMARY

Panorama is seeking a Inventory Management & Pricing Analyst.

The role of the Inventory Management and Pricing Analyst involves overseeing a portfolio of inventory (territory) and ensuring that inventory is priced to reflect supply and demand. The analyst will be responsible for implementing strategies that drive inventory utilization and maximize yields. The analyst will regularly report on the progress of these strategies constantly evaluating to ensure that inventory objectives are met.  In addition, the analyst will play a key role in ensuring that inventory systems are functioning as designed.  The analyst should be able to work independently and also collaborate with teammates to meet expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.

Specific duties include:

Territory Management

• Develop and successfully implement pricing and inventory strategies to maximize territory yield and utilization

• Research and analyze information from assigned geographic region(s) using both internal and external data sources

• Use MS Excel to analyze historical trends to forecast supply, usage and demand for properties within assigned territory

• Based on forecasted supply and demand build pricing and promotion plans to maximize inventory yield and utilization

• Proactively take steps to mitigate utilization risks via pricing and channel management

• Visually display territory performance via dashboards and reports to provide insightful analysis for other departments and senior management

Operational Duties

Use internal tools and reservation systems daily to ensure inventory is:

• On or off sale as necessary

• Available through the correct channels for booking

• Priced correctly to maximize yield and utilization

The ideal candidate will have:

• A deep understanding of MS Excel including pivot tables, formulas, visual displays, etc.

• Previously demonstrated experience using MS Excel to analyze large amounts of data

• Ability to work well independently and within a team

• An affinity with numbers and interpreting data

• Inclination towards logical thought, reasoning, and decision making

• A willingness to learn and support essential business operations

• A strong desire to learn valuable skills and business acumen within a supportive environment

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Revenue Management, Business, Mathematics/Applied Statistics, Analytics, Economics, or Finance.

• Minimum 1 year relevant experience in revenue management, analytical, or financial field is preferred

• Proficiency in MS Excel:

  • Must be able to quickly and easily create pivot tables to analyze large amounts of data

  • Candidates are required to perform an analysis on data (provided) and present findings to interview panel in order to be considered for position.

• Experience in data querying and analytical software like SQL, SAS, Python, Snowflake, etc. is preferred
