Travel + Leisure Co. is searching for a Digital Designer who is passionate about bringing clarity to complex concepts through innovative design. This person will support the world's leading membership and leisure travel company, along with other travel brands within our multi-billion dollar global portfolio.

The Digital Designer will play a crucial role throughout the creative process from ideation through execution to build out full scale digital campaign experiences from emails to dynamic ads. In doing so, this person must have proven design experience with UX & UI Frameworks and other visual implementations within the digital space. This position requires someone with optimal communication skills in order to articulate design rationale to team members and business stakeholders.

The Digital Designer must also thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and have excellent organizational skills. If you’re someone who can handle a high volume of work, cope with shifting priorities, and problem-solve quickly — this is the ideal job for you.

Previous work experience at or with creative agencies is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Execute on Creative Brand Strategy

  • Assists in the maintenance of TRAVEL & LEISURE and other Wyndham Destinations’ Club brands.

  • Works closely with Brand Managers to support the execution of brand campaigns and creative deliverables.

  • Demonstrates project management skills by seeing projects through completion.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional creative brand team(s) as needed.

  • Understand and enforce the brand guidelines for assigned work.

  • Active participation in brainstorming and ideation.

  • Strong collaboration with brand team members as well as interactive and video teams

Design Studio

  • Understand industry best practices related to email development and deployment.

  • Responsive/adaptive email experience. Portfolio examples required.

  • Convert client-provided assets (PSD/HTML/Images) into fully responsive emails and/or digital ads.

  • Work with leads to implement best practices and department processes.

  • Comfortably handle change requests and provide quick and efficient solutions.

  • Proactively provide ideas and solutions towards the improvement of the process and the business.

  • Porotype, test and design using UX & UI frameworks and/or other design system web applications.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

  • BFA in Graphic Design / Email Marketing or related degree

Knowledge and skills

  • Active participation in brainstorming and ideation.

  • Ability to present 'the strategic why' behind the creative and articulate the solve.

  • Solid grasp of web design principles and an understanding of front-end web and design framework technologies.

  • Knowledge of the digital, social, video and print production process.

  • Ability to self-manage time and meet expected deadlines, completing work on time and within the hours allocated.

  • Proficient in: Photoshop, Illustrator, XD/Sketch or related porotype apps.

  • After Effects or related animation tool is a plus.

  • Knowledge on Email CMS systems and workflow tool.

  • Expert knowledge in rendering and testing across email clients and devices trough LITMUS.

  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere with minimal supervision.

Technical Skills

  • Adobe Creative Suite

  • Solid grasp of HTML and CSS

  • Web applications for HTML 5 animations and/or animated ads.

  • Experience With Mail Marketing Platforms.

Job experience

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in brand and digital design

  • Prior experience within travel & hospitality a plus

  • Knowledge of marketing, all forms of advertising, and digital experiences
