This position is for an experienced Director, Digital Production with strong web technology expertise who is eager to play an integral role on the Digital team at Travel and Leisure Co. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: web content management; daily interactions with business partners, Product Management teams, Operations, UX, and Technology teams to quickly turn around priority one and two incidents related to websites in the T+L Co. family of sites; and prioritizing and strategizing the implementation of multiple business requests at any given moment.

The Director, Digital Production leads a team of digital content producers in bringing life to the web and digital experience for the company’s business units. This role combines the best of operational leadership with a dedicated commitment to flawless execution. Through strong leadership and staff development, this leader will effectively prioritize internal resources, provide visibility to constraints and opportunities in the digital content pipeline and collaborate with other leaders across the organization to continuously improve our digital processes and technology utilization. This role reports to the SVP, CRM & Digital and works closely with the other Digital Operations leads, Marketing, Creative, and Web Content Development.

  • Previous experience as a Web Producer, or similar project/program management position leading all aspects of multiple operational requests for clients and/or business partners
  • Experience managing requests that include integration with multiple back-end systems
  • Ability to partner with multiple stakeholders to manage expectations, gain acceptance and trust, as well achieve high client satisfaction ratings
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines in an fast-moving business environment
  • Ability to fully understand and clearly communicate technical information to non-technical people
  • Ability to lead a diverse team from operations, business, and technical disciplines
  • Thorough understanding of the software development process, particularly as it relates to web-based applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills required to keep a large queue of work in order
  • High emphasis on customer service with a drive to create and maintain a premium online customer experience.

  • Lead a team of Producers to support all T+L Co. (US/Global) digital experiences. Team members are chartered with end-to-end content production across site, app, and promotions.
  • Recruit, Retain and Mentor talent.
  • Play a critical leadership role for our brand portfolio, orchestrating multiple content work-streams across many different cross-functional teams and competing priorities
  • Provide visibility to the digital content pipeline KPIs and the Digital Production team’s contribution to business results and share insights on how resource allocations can be adjusted to better serve the business
  • Builds cross-functional alignment in successfully launching new ways of working and through progressive operational improvements for the organization
  • Influence SLA’s with key vendors and cross functional partners to balance efficiency with flawless execution
  • Develop strong relationships with cross-brand counterparts, sharing and leveraging expertise and best practices for digital content delivery across our shared technology stack
  • Create a positive team environment where team members feel ownership and value in their contributions
  • Conducts regular analyses and assessments of the T+L co. Digital Production team members and advocates for responsible organization change and staffing as needed

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Adobe Experience Manager is the company’s approved and most used Content Management System.  The qualified candidate should have a strong familiarity with AEM with a proven track-record for building and managing websites with it.
  • The company also leverages other Adobe products that integrate with AEM such as Adobe Target and Adobe’s Digital Asset Management system.  Experience with these products is preferred.
  • Operationally support new and current customer facing production applications, systems, and supporting infrastructure across the T+L Co. Enterprise
  • Ensure appropriate and timely communication and escalation of business impacting incidents
  • Partner with internal and external teams to determine root causes on significant incidents and drive any identified problems to resolution
  • Partner closely with other cross line of business leaders to define and provide support for products and services
  • Manage multiple business partners, many large projects at once, and distributed teams
  • Initiates and drives process changes designed to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Deliver repeatable and reproducible results through consistency of process, procedure, change control, and workflow management
  • Partner with the various IT organizations to implement and leverage tools and applications to monitor and support products and services
  • Build and develop proactive and cooperative relationships with internal and external teams
  • Mentor Production Department, lead process improvement efforts, lead estimation and requirements workshops with senior executives and business partners
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Manages Annual Plans, Budgets, Forecasts, vendor contracting and invoicing
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Performs a variety of tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude (expected)

Travel Requirements

This role could travel up to 15% of the time for vendor evaluations/trips, partner conferences, team meetings, and more.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Operations or related field

Knowledge and skills

  • Obvious passion for, interest in, and knowledge of hospitality, retail, fin-tech and the e-commerce industry in general
  • Keen understanding of “how things work” to guarantee operational and execution success. Know which organizational stakeholders are critical to generate insights and ensure initiative success
  • Passion for people management and development of teams, leveraging individual talents to maximize team productivity and strategic growth
  • Detailed oriented and analytical
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at multiple stages and budgets
  • Ability to work quickly with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong leadership, influencing and communication skills
  • Unique ability to balance capacity discussions with a growth mindset
  • Highly process-oriented with superior skills in defining and evangelizing operational opportunities and influencing the broader organization to continuously evolve and adopt new process
  • Strong understanding of the creative process for various marketing assets
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of producers, marketing managers and creative.
  • Discretion in handling confidential materials and issues

Job experience

  • 5+ years supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams
  • 5+ years of relevant management experience, preferably in hospitality, retail, ecommerce and/or fin-tech
  • 5+ years of experience implementing projects or programs in relevant area
  • Minimum 7+ years agency or in-house experience as a digital producer, including experience as a Senior or Executive Digital Producer

Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
