Travel + Leisure Co. is currently seeking a Digital Product Manager to join a dynamic business team responsible for driving rich and engaging digital products for our customers/owners. This position will be responsible for leading a team to execute the digital product roadmap and strategy, feature definition, evolution, quality, and business delivery for WD consumer and internal-facing digital products (websites and mobile applications). You will collaborate with the digital product team, digital leadership, and key business stakeholders to set product strategy, prioritize features, build consensus, and coordinate product schedules. You will guide a product team that is charged with a product’s contribution to our business, building new products and increasing the profitability of existing products. You will also work with product marketing, marketing communications and analytics teams to help define the go-to-market strategy and KPIs for each feature release by providing key product and market insights.
This role will require working closely with cross-functional business teams including, but not limited to, Club Management, Owner Services, Brand, Communications, Social Media, Sales, Marketing, Digital Analytics, Testing and Personalization. As the product manager, you will need to bridge the business needs with IT technical feasibility to define actionable tasks.
The Digital Product Manager will excel at detail oriented projects delivered through an agile methodology, enjoys solving complex problems, can manage changing priorities, performs well under pressure and time constraints, works well both independently and in a collaborative team environment, and takes pride in accurate delivery and best in class customer/owner experiences.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Set out the sprint cycle, lead the sprint planning, and define KPIs, including the creation of user stories for current and future products. Summarize and present back all findings of each sprint cycle to the relevant senior stakeholders in a show and tell set up. (40% time)
Ensure proactive resourcing of appropriate team members based on scope of requests, develop schedules for timely completion, and assign work. (15% time)
Work with the Director, Digital Products to develop a roadmap for digital products to illustrate our vision and plan into the future. (15% time)
Work with the marketing teams on developing product positioning and go to market strategy. (10% time)
Work with the analytics team to define metrics for the eCommerce features and functionality to drive priorities and recap the performance against initial sprint expectations (10% time)
Performs other duties as needed (5% time)
Travel Requirements
Limited travel throughout the year up to 25%. Occasional travel to perform usability testing, meet with vendors, or attend conferences may be required.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Education
BA/BS Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or Engineering. Technical undergraduate education with business/product management professional experience will be considered. Preference to MBA and/or equivalent work experience.
Training requirements
Certified SCRUM Product Owner Certification a plus but not required.
Knowledge and skills
Ability to successfully lead across organizational boundaries, including strong relationship management skills
Demonstrated success managing web and mobile projects that require in-depth partnership with IT/technical counterparts and integration with back-end systems/data
Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to lead diverse and cross functional groups, including outside vendors
Strong team orientation, both internal and external, with the ability to coach and mentor regardless of reporting relationships
Product management in hospitality, eCommerce and/or Information Technology
Proven project management and analytical skills
Ability to present to executive level leadership – must be able to flex presentation content and approach based on audience type
Financial analysis, financial root cause investigation and development of solutions/action plans to minimize risks and take advantage of opportunities
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
Ability to analyze issues, develop and deploy solutions within a dynamic environment
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including speaking in front of small and large groups
Strong time and project schedule management skills required to consistently meet deadlines and ensure preparedness for launch or implementation of products, services, or initiatives
Well organized, strong administrative and detail-oriented skills
Technical Skills
Experience with Microsoft Suite
Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), Adobe AEM preferred
Experience using project management tools (Jira, Basecamp, VersionOne, etc.)
Experience managing and estimating projects
Job experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in digital product management
2-3 years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
1-2 years of experience in Agile product management
Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
