The Manager for Loyalty and Affiliate Marketing will lead the strategic planning and development of all marketing initiatives supporting prospect acquisition, loyalty, and digital affiliate programs.
This role will work closely with other departments including Digital Marketing, Social Media, Analytics, Database Management, Product Development, Call Center, Finance, Legal, as well as the Global Rental Operations team (Yield, Sales, Distribution, Rental Services, and Operations) to develop these programs. Also responsible for effectively managing the budgets, program effectiveness measurements and return on investment for marketing programs developed.
Essential Job Functions
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Planning and Partnering (30% of time)
Partner with various stakeholders to intake and align on business goals and KPI’s to build foundation for strategic plan including Owners Services and Sales & Marketing
Implement personalized loyalty product and oversee launch, enhancements, and vendor relationships
Lead loyalty program including UI/UX, vendor relationship and offer strategies to drive revenue and lead generation
Launch Extra Holidays gift card program (Retail/Digital) and lead sales strategy and communication plan
Conceptualize and manage development of strategic campaigns and partner with internal teams to drive programs across various digital channels while maximizing results to meet targeted KPIs.
Manage development of campaign communications, contact strategy, and resort operational support to maximize customer experiences, product engagement and usage,
Manage affiliate lead generation strategies, data capture solutions and back-end integration of lead capture
Translate strategic opportunities into an annual calendar of Marketing and Communications Initiatives and meet with internal partner groups to ensure support buy-in.
Implement digital analytics across various mediums to gain customer insights and provide partners with necessary data for optimized decision making.
Manage and report on programs in terms of key drivers such as leads generated, cost reductions, lead conversions, subscription usage, bookings/reservations, package sales, tours generated, arrivals and ROI generated.
Marketing Development (50%)
Manage the design and development of all consumer facing marketing programs and campaigns that will drive incremental revenue from lead generation, media buys, SEO/PPC, email, mobile, and social platforms
Lead affiliate marketing strategy including placements, pricing, offers and optimizations as well competitive research, knowledge and opportunities within the digital affiliate universe.
Lead and execute loyalty program marketing through partnerships opportunities and Extra Holidays
Audit, analyze, monitor and report on performance metric results, findings and adjust as necessary to maximize key drivers/indicators that will help translate highly detailed data into actionable business insights and financial results.
Outline all project requirements and provide design direction for internal and external partners for email development, web content and asset, paid digital, print, direct mail and video content
Manage marketing projects to ensure deadlines and goals are met.
Manage marketing programs through partner approval, legal submission/review, and IT/Security review.
Develop departmental presentations and corporate communications.
Provide reports and feedback to senior leaders on direction and effects to key drivers.
Client/Vendor Management (20% of time)
Work closely with internal partners to understand their processes/business, identify marketing opportunities, and become a critical support element to the success of their operations
Partner with internal and external partners to manage loyalty strategy around SEO, pay per click programs and digital/media buys
Partner with internal teams to maintain email and mobile/SMS infrastructure including data segmentation/targeting, compliance, data transfer/capture, vendor management, policy development and creation of best practices.
Work with internal teams to manage online lead generation infrastructure include data security
Partner with database teams to define targeted data sets and align campaigns and reporting
Serve as a primary contact with web partners on all enhancements, resource allocation and site improvements as needed
Manage outsourced projects to ensure efficiency, cost savings and accurate messaging/branding.
Partner and manage relationship with key external vendors.
Attend industry trade shows, conferences and training as needed.
Performs other duties as needed
Domestic travel within the US and Caribbean is required less than 10% of the time.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Knowledge and skills
Experience leading e-commerce and acquisition marketing strategy to achieve goals
Experience with customer loyalty program and reward strategy
Understanding of digital, affiliate and social marketing landscape
Strong understanding of database marketing and target marketing based on historical data and trend analysis.
Experience working successfully across teams in a matrixed corporate environment
Previous experience with a timeshare, vacation rental, hospitality or online travel agency a plus
Self-starter with ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced startup environment
Ability to work effectively across teams globally to achieve results
Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong presentation skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to use results to drive change
Excellent organizational skills with ability to consistently meet deadlines
Proven ability to plan and manage budgets
Must be results driven, enjoy problem solving and passionate about being challenged
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook) and call center
5+ years of marketing experience including digital marketing, social media, direct mail and print.
3+ years of loyalty and/or affiliate marketing experience with demonstrated success and growth.
3+ years of experience managing vendor partnerships and/or direct reports.
Unless there is a legal requirement, experience will be accepted for the education requirement.
