Travel + Leisure Co is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Orlando, Florida. This is a hybrid role, three days in the office (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) and two days from home (Thursday, Friday).
This position will help support the Travel + Membership business with financial planning and analysis services which includes profitability analysis and reporting, long range planning models, annual budgets, quarterly business reviews, monthly re-forecasts, marketing performance analysis and daily support of management decision making.
Focus will be on, but not limited to, membership business support which provides for an exciting opportunity to join a new and fast growing segment of the business!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Help manage all forecasting and budgeting activities, including transaction & subscription revenue, cost of sales calculations, forecasting of marketing and other operating expenses, etc..
Develop and oversee marketing performance management: analysis, reporting [including design], forecast integration and ad-hoc decision support
Analyzes the actual results against forecasts/budget to concisely highlight variance drivers and identify opportunities to mitigate risk and improve performance.
Assist for the presentations for the quarterly business reviews, annual budget review and long range plan review for senior management.
Perform consolidated financial statement research and analysis, including development and preparation of financial management reports.
Actively identifying significant trends in operations and presenting to senior management with appropriate recommendations for action on opportunities.
Continuously seeking opportunities to automate and streamline processes to reduce cycle time and churn in all operations planning processes.
Assist management with ad hoc assignments.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or closely related field required
CPA or MBA is a plus
Knowledge and skills
Self-motivated with the ability to source data, recommend conclusions, manage multiple projects, and adhere to strict deadlines while incorporating work style with team objectives
Excellent strategic, analytical, and creative thinking aptitude
Strong ability to build driver-based models and metric based planning tools
Mastery of analytical techniques and report design
Experience supporting marketing performance management, including Google Analytics
Actively informs management of sub-optimal practices, including process improvement and automation, wherever observed and takes action to correct issues
Strong business acumen with understanding of functional linkages and ability to build strong professional relationships with business partners in both operational and financial roles
Strong communication and interpersonal skills as this role will communicate directly to Sr Leadership
Well organized and able to perform under stressful situations
Attention to detail and ability to present a highly professional end product is a must
Technical Skills
Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills (i.e., pivot tables, vlookup, formulas, macros, etc.)
Experience with managing Oracle Planning (or similar enterprise planning system) is a plus
Experience with Google Analytics and Power BI
Ability to create, maintain and distribute accurate reporting on a systematic efficient basis
Experience with creating driver based, complicated financial models to support budgets, forecasts and business decision making
Job experience
3+ year’s experience with financial analysis and complex model building
Membership business experience, highly preferred
