Position Description

The Business Operations Manager is responsible for delivering the highest-level support for all Sales and Marketing locations. This position will support our field Business Operations teams by identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and implementing changes to evolve our current state process, and reduce risk for the company.

As a member of the corporate Business Operations team this role is responsible for highest level quality support for all Sales and Marketing locations across Wyndham Destinations North America. This support includes all site marketing, sales, and operations teams. Support is provided through management of systems (used at the sales and marketing locations), reporting, implementation of new or enhanced operational processes/initiatives, and protection of any disruption to end users. This team is responsible for clear and effective communication to all marketing and selling locations. In addition to communication, this team is also responsible for maintaining processes and procedures that govern Sales and Marketing operations and launching initiatives that reduce risk.

You will be responsible to:

  • Own daily support of field Business Operations teams
    • Ensure appropriate response time
    • Coordinates support between various communication channels
    • Craft and deliver highly impactful communications for new policies, initiatives, or direction to all our field partners
    • Create and maintain innovative training
  • Ensure site sales and marketing processes are both protected and continually evolving
    • Implement new initiatives/projects into our systems by gathering requirements, designing tests, and leading user acceptance testing (UAT) with our IT partners
    • Design communication for system changes and provide post launch support
    • Proactively partner at all levels (end users through leadership) to provide recommendations to enhance the success of operations
    • Continually challenges the status quo to reduce any risk
  • Works closely with business partners across the organization to provide operational feedback and support
  • Drive results through peer leadership

You will partner with:

  • Other business groups that are implanting changes which will impact our field Business Operations teams
  • Field partners that are seeking guidance on policies, procedures, or general questions
  • Vendors that provide systems or services to our field Business Operations teams.

Examples of projects you will work on:

  • Regular system testing and troubleshooting to ensure functionality
  • Creation of tools or processes to enhance operations at our sales and marketing locations
  • Analysis of reports for sales sites to identify areas of opportunity and working with those locations to improve
  • Designing training content and hosting companywide training calls for end users to learn new processes

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of work experience
    • Experience in customer service, retail, education, or other support areas are highly compatible
  • Capable to be a reliable, self-starting and team-focused player
  • Able to balance multiple assignments and projects effectively with varying timelines
  • Superior ability to work well under pressure, understand urgency, and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable to lead and assist in the coordination of highly visible projects within a large organization
  • Able to develop relationships to drive work goals while also demonstrating peer leadership
  • You can quickly identify potential impacts and think through potential solutions
  • Creative problem solver with proven results in improving processes
  • Strong collaboration skills with ability to create strong working relationships
  • You must have a willingness to embrace change and support process evolution
  • You must be personally accountable for all outcomes – good and bad
