The Business Continuity Specialist role will support the Business Continuity Director to ensure that Travel + Leisure Co.'s personnel and assets are protected in the event of crisis or disaster situations. This will include a variety in day-to-day operations, including but not limited to managing the emergency communication software, supporting the implementation of business continuity planning, and working to continuously test and improve emergency preparedness and recovery plans.
How You'll Shine:
Support the Director in aligning all Business Continuity planning, initiatives, and goals with organizational goals
Assist with managing 3rd party Business Continuity vendors
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and Business Continuity best practice
Develop and execute maintenance and testing programs for all BC plans
Direct and supervise Business Continuity plan maintenance and update processes
Assist with conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIAs) & Risk Assessments of key processes and resources to identify specific Business Continuity needs
Conduct risk assessments of emergency response preparedness and identify program gaps, analyzing potential business impact of unpredictable business interruptions such as natural disasters, security breaches, legal claims, and market disruptions
Address lessons learned and implement corrective actions identified through annual testing or through post-event action reports
Manage emergency communication software, campaign for all associates to keep emergency contact information up to date, and update notification templates
Lead recovery efforts during a disaster using the established response strategies to ensure consistency
Support Lead Planner, Emergency Management Team Lead (EMT Lead), and Business Continuity teams during a crisis event
Ensure consistent, thorough, and accurate communication on incidents while maintaining accurate distribution lists
Support communication process between sites and Director of Business Continuity
Manage the shared inbox and respond to queries within a timely manner
Promote awareness of Emergency Preparedness, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity policies, standards, plans, and processes
Document and track all incidents in the Business Continuity SharePoint
Maintain all safety collateral for corporate sites and resorts up to date
Review intelligence reports and current events to assess potential business interruptions
Review Worldcue Trip information, Trip Sync, Emergency Reporting Service, and Worldcue Login Summary reports to verify information and escalate concerns
Update the annual Business Continuity Report and Business Continuity's portion of the annual Sustainability Report
What You'll Bring:
High school or equivalent
Bachelor's Degree in related field desired
Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP), Certified Functional Continuity Planner (CFCP), or Certified Recover Engineer (CDRE) preferred.
FEMA related training in emergency preparedness, emergency operations, preferred.
Demonstrated influencing skills with the ability to align stakeholders
Ability to work nights and weekends during a crisis event
Ability to travel 20%
2-4 years of related experience - risk analysis, business impact analysis, business continuity planning, crisis management, or emergency response management
Experience in the hospitality industry preferred
